  1. I've said this other places, and i'll say it here. If you don't watch Being The Elite, don't bother commenting on AEW or Cody/Bucks, as every review/podcast of All In sounded like idiots who didn't know what they were talking about, most often because they don't watch a 15min weekly show on youtube, but will sit through 7 hrs of WWE television per week
  2. One major problem with this is that Southwest was already canceled by USA by the time Hogan would have won the AWA belt, which makes a launch of the TNT show in Jan. '84 not very likely (would have had a better chance of being pushed by Verne for ESPN in '85, but Southwest by then was sold to All-Texas)

  4. Kobashi? What is it with this board at the moment? The sooner I'm done with my commitment to PWO2K the better. Did I mention I think Misawa is the most overrated Japanese wrestler of all-time?
  5. I thought this was great, and Sami Callihan lawn-darting Darby into the side of the balcony was a holy shit moment for me. Callihan is really careless and doesn't even try to look like he's protecting his opponent in matches, which I first noticed here. ***3/4
  6. This is the match where Inoki won his first international title, the NWF World Heavyweight title, the belt of Pedro Martinez's Ohio-Pittsburgh-W.Virginia-Buffalo federation. It was originally the North American title of the NWF, but was elevated to 'World' status after Bruno lost the WWWF title (which, in turn was losing it's 'world' title status, as they rejoined the NWA the same year). Pedro Martinez (along with Kola Kwariani) booked MSG from '59-'60, when Bruno faced Haystacks Calhoun and first headlined the Garden, teaming with Rocca. It was also Martinez who booked Bruno in Buffalo during his blacklisting. When Toots sold Pittsburgh to Bruno, a condition was that he not in turn sell the territory to Martinez. Six years later, Bruno sold it to Geeto Mongol, who sold it to Martinez exactly one year later. Then Martinez brought Bruno in to be his booker in Pittsburgh. As soon as the WWWF belt was put back on Bruno, Bruno had to quit the booking job and Pittsburgh immediately started going under. Eventually, the NWF collapsed, and Martinez returned a year or two later with the IWA. The NWF belt legitimized New Japan, before the Ali match, and was the primary title of the promotion, until the creation of the IWGP belt in the late '80s.
  7. if anybody has a link, or can upload this video, i'd love to take a look at it
  8. Omega vs Okada at the Dome wasn't even the best match of last YEAR.. hell, it wasn't even the match match the two had together
  9. Does anybody have this, or a fresh link? I have been doing a research project on Rocca for a few years, and have found almost zero footage of him after the Thesz match in Buffalo in '63. I've seen this result before, and IIRC it was a small promotion that had tv.
  10. Negronavarrology isn't a word. I googled it and the only thing that came up was this post lol/
  11. Buddy Rogers' last singles loss was against Paul Orndorff, his 2nd to last singles match ever was against Ricky Steamboat.. I would love for footage to show up of either of those, or any of the Al Haft tv from the late '50's when Rogers was the top babyface
