  1. Another quality Kandori/Hotta tag from the depths of japanese YouTube. The pretty girls Handa and Inoue do a lot better in this match than you'd expect. Early on there's a weird long outside brawl which is largely missed by the cameras, but Inoue comes up bloody, which gives Kandori ample opportunity to kick and punch her in the bloody face while mugging and posing for Hotta. Hotta is a great hot tag as you'd expect as she just destroys Handa with brutal kicks. We also get some pretty great retaliation from Inoue on Honda, which was mostly her smashing Handas head into the ring apron and tables which was so much better than the usual move fest. Inoue also hit a pretty boss apron fist drop which was unexpected. The Inoue/Handa sections continue to be way better than you'd expect as they make some kneebars actually compelling. Things get a little over elaborate for this kind of match, but they get it back on track with some great Kandori/Hotta streetfighting exchanges. The bomb throwing finale was really well executed aswell with Handa catching Hotta in some nice rollups, Kandori helping her along before Hotta just destroys her with big darn moves. Could've used a little fat trimmed but on it's own this was pretty great, gritty pro wrestling.
  2. Title match of some kind. The opening matwork was really good right away. It looked like Yoshida had come in with an injury to her right leg and Takako, the champion, was taking full advantage. Yoshida is really good at creating a sense of struggle from underneath. Once it's Yoshida's turn to work over Takako's back it loses something for me. Takako just isn't as good at working from underneath. Yoshida's selling while working over Takako's back is good too. Once they go to the nearfalls selling seems like it is thrown out the window. I do like that they get across how high risk moves can cost you, but given the time the match runs it seems a little rushed. Yoshida crashes and burns on a dive when Takako moves. Her knee is the focal point of her selling again, which makes me wish she hadn't forgotten it for that stretch. Takako kills her with 3 back suplex variations where Yoshida is sitting on her shoulder, then goes to the leg for the finish. Takako selling her back post-match as well, but it's a little late. Overall a good match with a strong layout that would have benefited from an extended run of offense from both after a missed high risk move and better selling by both. Give it 5 more minutes and extended selling of the back and leg during the offensive flurries and it would have been great.
  3. Hana Kimura vs. Takako Inoue I thought Takako did a good job leading the rookie, and her work on top was crisp. I liked the STF struggle, and how she was clawing Hana's thigh during it! Hana also put on a strong showing with much stiffer elbow strikes than her ACE match with Hiroyo, and her front dropkicks and brainbuster were great as always, and I really enjoyed her selling (oversight to not have her take Takako's stun gun!). ***1/4
