Loss Posted December 18, 2010 Author Report Share Posted December 18, 2010 This is a total Psicosis and Juventud show, as Volador and El Mexicano seem to be off on timing -- at least for most of the match -- and have a few miscues. There are times where it takes forever to set up a spot, and Psicosis will sell it like the other guy has him stuck somewhere and he can't move to cover up for the problem. Both Juventud and Psicosis also put forth some tremendous dives, and Psicosis takes a ridiculous somersault bump off of a missile dropkick while in Doomsday Device position. There are also some Psicosis high spots that I've never seen before in any other context that blew my mind. These two should have teamed full time in WCW. Even as an enhancement team, they would have made other guys look great. Great match in spite of some rough patches thanks to Juventud and even more so Psicosis. Psicosis does a dive to the outside and bounces off the front row of fans. Psicosis and Juventud looked good but there was some spots/moves not being hit right. Zenjo Posted November 27, 2013 Report Share Posted November 27, 2013 This was all sorts of fun, albeit in a weird and unusual way. It had a nice full length and kept lively throughout. The rudos delivered strong performances and Volador held his end up. I don't know why people are lumping him together with his partner here. There were some great bumps and high flying action. Volador took a brutal top rope victory roll that may have injured him at the end. Great selling if not as he did a stretcher job. The structure was highly advanced too. They strongly teased a 2-0 tecnico win and in the tercera it was 1vs2 for a while. This should've been a really good match. Then there was El Mexicano. Initially I was struck by how horrible his image was. They say that the first bite is with the eye. Well the second bite tasted just as bad as he delivered a shocking performance. Totally off the pace and blowing spots left, right and centre. There was a great moment when his opponents were looking at each other in despair at his incompetence. Whilst Mexicano certainly hurt the match I actually ended up enjoying his performance! It entered 'so bad it's good' range and there was plenty of fun to be had all around. It was certainly disjointed at times and neither Volador or Mexicano were great shakes, but man Juvy and especially Psicosis had a death wish in this match. Psicosis did no less than 4-5 crazy bumps to the floor and was a complete loon. I look forward to seeing him in 1996 if this is any indication. Their celebration at the end was great too. PeteF3 Posted December 20, 2014 Report Share Posted December 20, 2014 Good performance by Psicosis, even if I don't get why he got a babyface comeback for the victory. But man, talk about a match that needed tightening up. There are easily 5 minutes or so of dead air because of everyone involved going through their spots as slow as molasses. Even the referee is uncomfortably slow, and that's accounting for the fact that lucha refs tend to be slow to begin with. Volador contributed a few smooth moves but he looked a lot better a few years earlier. I love El Mexicano's ring gear and he had a nice power bomb, but otherwise was lost. The ending was cool though -- the avalanch victory roll Psicosis hit looked really sweet and I liked the idea of him taking the time to dispatch the other opponent and then come back for the pin for something different.
