Ron Wright reads a letter from a fan, and this is really, really funny. Wright is thankful for being recognized as a "good, clean, Christian scientific wrestler", even when his opponents tried to maim him. $5.00 is included in the letter, with the writer saying he wished it could be more. Hilarious.

This is hilarious! Ron Wright want to share with us one of the thousands of letters he has received in the past few weeks. The writer says that they've been a fan of Wright's for years, that he was one of the greatest and best loved wrestlers ever and always liked how he showed the other wrestlers such good sportsmanship when they were trying to maim and cripple him. They're very sorry to hear he needs money for his operation so have enclosed $5, but wish it could be more for a kind old man like him. They hope that other fans will also write in and send money until he's able to find a good Christian athlete to manage. This nearly breaks Ron, knowing he has this kind of support from the fans, and appreciates it from the bottom of his heart! This interview was all kinds of awesome!

The setup and delivery here is so good that it almost feels legit. If only the man in question hadn't been one of the most despised heels in the history of east Tennessee. In all seriousness, this is an excellent, out-of-the-box angle that only someone operating under the radar as Corny was would have dared to try in this way.

I wonder if any marks were actually taken in by this and sent Ron money, and if so what did SMW do with it?
