Rumble isn't too bad here, but if anyone had told me that the sawed-off runt with the facepaint would become one of the most over wrestlers in the sport by the end of the decade, I'd have laughed in their faces. He looks like something that even Vince would have sense enough to turn down.

 

Is this the same Carolina-based outfit that guys like Ricky Steamboat and Robert Fuller wrestled in for about five minutes back in '90?

Screamy promo, badness flowing through veins, goofy early Taz....this kinda hurt, but had humor to it.  I'm wondering if Tony Rumble and Ultimate Warrior could have cut intense but completely unintelligible promos on each other  at any point in their careers.  Would have at least been semi-entertaining.
