Loss
Talk about it here.
Loss
I had no intentions of looking at this seriously, and I still don't think I do, but this was a better match than I remembered. The post-match is of course the highlight.
goodhelmet
I love the Hart-Lawler feud and had no problem putting this on the set. The gimmick is cheesy but these guys work great together. Much like Regal-Anderson, which was panned by Meltz, this probably deserves a re-evaluation.
El-P
Awful feud. Talking about rotten feet, then going into evil dentist. Poor Bret. And no wonder Lawler was seen as a joke then.
Tim Evans
I remember watching this when my mother got this for me for my 10th birthday. The part where Lawler vomited made me do the same thing. Glad you guys didn't include that. It wasn't a horrible match but boy did Hakushi look weak in this. Screwing up twice by hitting lawler. And how does Hat guy keep getting front row seats in Philly? goodhelmet
Just rewatched this for the LAwler set and this was really fun as a standalone match. The foot kissing stip is stupid but not even the dumbest thing I have seen this week. Early on, Bret is taking out his frustrations on King and Lawler sells like a champ. Pretty great transition to Lawler on offense as Lawler yanks Bret into the stairs in a nasty bump. All of Lawler's stuff on offense looks good including his boot shots when he takes the boots off. Move freaks probably hate Lawler stalling and jawing with the fans but I love that shit. It also proves to be his undoing as it allows Bret to recover and kick out of the piledrivers. The Hakushi interference didn't bother me and his screw up even allowed Bret to get back on offense. Good match and Lawler looked good. Bret looked really good too except for a so-so Russian Legsweep.
PeteF3
Not that good of a match but an improvement over IYH. Such a dumb, disgusting stipulation even though the booking of it actually made some logical sense.
