This was tremendous. Every Espectrito singles match I've seen (full disclosure: I've now only seen two) feels like the most important match in the universe. Credit that to his ability to pace a match and anticipate crowd reaction. He's a pretty basic wrestler for the most part, but he does everything with such great timing that it works really well. The pop for Super Munequito's win is electric, and the post-match celebration is spectacular.

I like how Espectrito was second by Coco Azul who tries to interfere in the second fall. This was good but not on the level of high end AAA minis matches. Espectrito looked like he hurt himself taking a armdrag to the outside and hitting his foot on the bull ring. The camera also misses a dive at the start of the third while focusing on the crowd. I always hated that about AAA and they still do it. Good finish and Loss is right, the crowd goes crazy.

Fantastic match. Not as good as the Mascarita Sagrada matches, but Munequito is not far behind him and Espectrito as far as being a minis worker. His agility and quickness for such a fat little guy is impressive, and he's able to twist himself into all of the crazy submissions Espectrito cares to put him in. It's really Espectrito holding this together, as he comes off as a really smart worker in addition to being a master technician and bump machine. Tirantes interpreting the camel clutch as a chokehold and breaking it was a great spot that got awesome heat and had Dr. Morales practically ready to leap out of his announcer's desk--it felt like Munequito was wrestling against two guys here (three if you count Payaso Azul) but unlike some other matches, Tirantes established his role without smothering the match.

A breezy title bout that was fun throughout. The AAA minis from the era are something I always look forward to. They had a strong crop of workers, with Espectrito being the best of the bunch. Munequito is as cute as a proverbial button, particularly when accompanied by his father. There were a few miscommunicados in the opener, before they tightened up thereafter. A 2-0 was briefly threatened before a longer tercera with plenty of near falls. There were some Tirantes shenanigans, but it never overshadowed the action. It was a real feelgood moment when the tecnico prevailed, much as I love Espectrito.
