A hell of match. I was a little hesitant about the NJ Juniors being able to hang in this kind of MPRO sprint, but they totally brought it. Ohtani especially was great, springboarding all over the ring and having a dickhead smirkoff with TAKA. Man alive, the MPRO team were sick athletes, just watching the speed they run the ropes, and the height they get on every move, when Sasuke somersaults through on the dropdown he just floats in the air forever. Of course our boy SATO is at his chubbiest and his fastest, he may have had the prettiest dive of the train with his double jump flip plancha. Liger is also just tailor made for this style, he captains his team so well, he is calling the plays like Jason Kidd. The finish was awesome as we get a triple flying headbutt on Shiryu, before Liger brings him to the top rope and spikes him through the mat with a brainbuster. I don't understand why this style is so bad now, why can't there be guys still doing this?

Real good match but felt like it was missing something. Dunno what but I just couldn't help thinking in the back of my head while watching this that i've seen all these guys except Ishikawa (who the heck was he?) in tons of other jr tags just as good or better so it didn't seem like an overly stand out affair to me.

Lots of fun to see NJ vs MPro. The spots weren't quite as ironed out as they would be in 1996, but this was still really enjoyable. Otani looks awesome, and keeps up with the MPro guys better than anyone on his team. The NJ payback with all the double stomps was fun, too. I wish it had gotten a bigger pop, but this crowd doesn't seem quite sure how to handle all of this until Shiryu does the sequence with Liger and Samurai that gets over great. That's followed up with a super fun dive train, with half the guys landing on the sound table at ringside, and Sasuke putting the icing on the cake. The only reason I don't hold this in quite as high regard as some might is because I know how much better the MPro guys would become. But this is still very much worth checking out.

TAKA does a fake dive to the outside and Ohtani is none too impressed and drop kicks him in the back of the head. Always loved that move. Sasuke does a crazy dive to the outside where he lands on a ringside table and part of the guard rail. Dives overall were great. Good match but seemed to end just as was really starting to get going.

This was bunches of fun and borderline great. All of the M-Pro comedy sequences mixed in were entertaining and that dive train was absurd. I found it out of place that Samurai just instantly slowed the match down when he first got in after it'd been at an extremely fast pace. Otani and Liger seemed with it and I'm not familiar with Ishizawa at all. Still, a worthwhile source of fun and fast paced wrestling.

Holy hell, I could watched these eight guys go at it for 2 hours. Ohtani is one of the most graceful pure athletes I think I've ever seen in wrestling, or maybe anywhere. We get to see Sasuke work heel, and the New Japan guys work Michinoku Pro comedy spots. We see one of the greatest dive trains ever in terms of combining sheer athletic grace with high impact pain. This was a total blast and if anything it was too short.

Ishikawa is someone I vaguely remember having seen before. Obviously he never made it. There were two clear highlights in this one. Firstly was the red hot exchange between Ohtani and Taka. Later on there was the dive train. It was certainly an enjoyable match, but also really frustrating. That's because it could've been a whole lot more. With just 5m extra they could've gone on and produced a memorable encounter. Instead they were cut short and not given the opportunity. As such it's forgettable midcard fun.
