New Jack gives us some info on Ghetto Street fight. D-Lo Brown is helping them find weapons that they will bring to the fight. Another message from SMW that they will not be responsible for any injuries inflicted in the street fight.

Tammy is very verbally abusing towards Boo Bradley. She is using Boots the Cat as a hostage to get Bradley to do what she wants.

Cornette doesn’t want any recurrences of The Bullet if Armstrong is to lose. We get confirmation that if Armstrong loses he is done for good. Armstrong gets Cornette all flustered.

Cornette needs to get in shape for Ron Wright so he will be doing some training today. Athletes need some proper nutrition and protein for their workouts. Bedlam shows up with some junk food for the workout. Cornette has some Preparation H and Geritol as suggestions for Ron Wright to get through his owen workouts.

I love all of these on-location promos. This should happen way, way more often in wrestling now. Not everything has to be in the arena. I'm hyped to see a Ghetto Street Fight with the Rock & Rolls and the Gangstas. No disclaimer anymore, but SMW will NOT (in red) be held responsible for anything that happens in the street fight.

Tammy is out petting a cat, and I can't help but think that's an intentional visual pun. Tammy threatens Boo Bradley that he has to do whatever she says or Boots the Cat gets it!

Next, Jim Ross brings Jim Cornette and Bob Armstrong together to air their grievances with each other. Cornette isn't getting hoodwinked again -- he doesn't want the masked Bullet to show up if Abdullah beats him. Even putting Board of Directors guy on the spot to get confirmation of that, he doesn't get it.

Finally, we get Cornette by video. He has to get rid of Ron Wright. Cornette does a lot of the metaphor insults that Jerry Lawler is fond of and has visual aids. Effective public speaking!

This was all great. The Gangstas promo ruled, Tammy threatening to have a small cat euthanized was disturbing yet amusing since this involves Balls Mahoney, the Cornette/Armstrong stuff was fun, and Cornette's training video was outrageous and ridiculous but awesome. Great, great stuff.

All of this is all well and good, and yeah, I love on-location promos too, but it is just outshined by the final sentence of Cactus. I can't believe he actually said what he said (not talking about that great KC & Sunshine Band quote either)! :) (and Tammy's pussycat does look adorable)

The Gangstas are downright giddy at getting the Rock 'n Rolls in a Ghetto Street Fight. Seems every non-Big Two promotion is going out of their way to be "hardcore" and do stuff the WWF and WCW aren't willing to. Part of that is ECW influence, possibly, but I think it's mostly these promotions realizing that that's the easiest way to create a point of difference. Ultraviolence probably isn't the specific way to go anymore, but it'd be nice for some more modern promotions to take note.

Boo is no actor, but Tammy gets the storyline over effectively enough. Boo won't get his kitty back if he doesn't obey Tammy.

CONFRONTATION! Wait, where's the fine and suspension for Boo for trashing Cactus Jack the previous week? Cornette wants assurance that there won't be any more Bullets or other masked men coming in after Bob Armstrong is sent packing. Great build to Abdullah--pity it didn't go anywhere.

Now it's training time! JC extolls the virtues of calisthenics and proper nutrition as Bruiser Bedlam brings him his health food--a triple-mayo burger from Wendy's. He also has some gifts for Ron Wright--milk of magnesia, Preparation H, Ex-Lax, and Geritol .

Four quality promos in a row, or at least four promos that got the point across. That's SMW for you.

For the sake of posterity I'm assuming this is the infamous interview where Cactus declares that, "Boo isn't the first man whose love of pussy has led him astray."

The Gangstas & D-Lo Brown are in the streets and D-Lo is collection objects and weapons (pallets, fire extinguishers, metal bins etc) for the ghetto street fight. New Jack says that the ‘ghetto street fight’ is their kind of match and the Rock & Roll Express actually had the nerve to sign to face them in this? They’re going to use anything they can get their hands on to beat them with, and Ricky and Robert’s days are numbered. First they took their belts and now they are going to take their pride, at Thanksgiving Thunder, Rock & Roll is over!

Tammy Fytch says that Chris Candido will be back on TV next week and he’ll help her control this idiot, this fool, this bumbling, stupid goof! Until then if he wants his little kitten to be healthy and happy, he better do exactly what she says because he wouldn’t want anything to happen to her.

Tammy is a proper bitch here, excellent in the role and you have real sympathy for Boo.

Confrontation w/ Jim Cornette & Bob Armstrong - Cornette has Bruiser Bedlam with him, whilst Ron West from the Smoky Mountain Board of Director is also with them. Cornette requested this meeting as he wanted assurances, before Thanksgiving Thunder, that he’s not going to get hornswoggled again as last time Bob Armstrong lost a ‘loser leaves Smoky Mountain Wrestling match’, all of a sudden a guy with the same body, the same old fossilized teeth, the same way of talking, a man named The Bullet came to SMW. He doesn’t like cheaters and wants confirmation from Ron West that if Bob Armstrong is defeated by his man, Abdullah the Butcher at Thanksgiving Thunder, then he will be gone from Smoky Mountain Wrestling for good and will not be coming back under a mask? West confirms that everything is in place and should Bob Armstrong lose, then he will be gone. Jim Ross wants some clarity on what would happen if Armstrong wins, and West confirms that Jim Cornette will have to get on his hands and knees and crawl across the ring and kiss Armstrong’s feet. Cornette says that it will be a cold day in hell before that happens as Abdullah the Butcher has Bob Armstrong’s number and he’s going to carve him up like a Thanksgiving turkey. The Bullet says that words are cheap, but now they’ve heard from the Board of Directors that all stipulations will be followed, all he’s got to do is find some way to get round the Butcher and he can watch Cornette crawl across the ring and kiss his feet. Cornette doesn’t care is Abdullah gets locked up for the rest of his life, just as long as he does Bob Armstrong in first!

Jim Cornette training video and he’s on location training for this upcoming tag team match as he knows he’s got to get in shape to face Ron Wright. He is joined by Bruiser Bedlam but we sadly don’t see any training, it’s just Cornette telling a bunch of jokes about how old Wright is (I think we’ve heard them all before about Bob Armstrong!). He tells the Dirty White Boy that if he cares anything about his so called ‘father figure’, he’ll send him to the Sunnydale rest home at Thanksgiving instead of sticking him in the ring with him as there’s nothing he likes more than tearing down a legend and humiliating someone in front of their home fans, crowd and family. Ron Wright was a big deal a long time ago, but now he’s just another sad, stinking old man that’s going to get hurt and going to get hurt bad!
