Last few minutes. Hogan wins the most trying match of his career. He's not really getting booed, but this crowd is not as into Hogan as they should be. Post-match, Hogan is threatening to lovetap each face of fear with the chair. Savage comes in and teases being a heel (HUGE MISSED OPPORTUNITY) but instead sides with Hogan. Hogan and Savage shake hands and they even copy the zoom in on the hands from the 1987 SNME. Wow. Savage does some posing and soon will be wrestling without a shirt again, thanks to WCW's lack of steroid testing.

Hogan and Savage do some obnoxious gloating and Hogan is waxing poetic about his friendship with Beefcake, when Vader barges into the locker room and ends this facade and cuts an AMAZING promo on Hogan. Hogan shoves him and we have a pull-apart brawl. This was an excellent segment once Vader came in.

Butcher looks like an idiot waiting 15 seconds before pinning a lifeless Hogan only for him to Hulk up and that is all she wrote. This also may have been the most heatless Hogan segment up to this point.

I do wish savage would have went heel and I think a heel Savage and Vader going after Hulk and him resulting to reaching out to Flair and reinstating him would have been a great angle with a lot of different possibilities and legs to it.

The timing of this got thrown off by a big fight in the stands that drew the attention of the crowd, hence the delay in the Hulk-Up. Butcher gets convincingly and mercifully killed dead, and Randy Savage after faking us out makes the save from the Faces of Fear. Reuniting the MegaPowers seems like a waste, but on the other hand if you turn Savage here you've pretty much fucked over Vader yet again, and that was a match that needed to happen sooner than later.

Case in point, Vader crashes the post-match interview scene. (Hulk schmoozing with Johnny B. Badd and Brad Armstrong is certainly a bizarre sight.) Hulk gets philosophical about the Butcher, but way, way, WAY too late. That interview needed to come right after the turn. Vader bursts in and FINALLY we get the showdown that we've been waiting for since Flair's retirement. Vader cuts the promo of his career and we get a fantastic chaotic scene. Other than Okerlund doing a shit job and trying to get himself over at the expense of the segment, this was a terrific piece of business.
