Kenny Omega is working the Florida ROH double shot in November . Two more sellouts for Sinclair courtesy of the Cleaner . I don't know what NJPW and ROH are paying Omega , but it is not enough .

I get that the "Ring of Honor" is meant to get heel heat. But ugh. Cody is just so impossibly boring.

I couldn't tell you a damn thing that's going on in modern ROH at the moment but I've illegally downloaded every show from 2004 and plan to binge watch it all soon.

You're not good at being a criminal.

It's discussed earlier in this thread that people are actively *wanting* to give ROH money for their back catalogue and ROH is like, "Nah, we're good." The second-hand market is about the only way to go if you're talking 2004.

I couldn't think of a streaming service I'd throw my money at faster than a ROH network with the full catalouge, honestly.

It's stunning that I can go on Highspots Network I can watch a boatload of glory years 2003-2008 IWA Mid-South but ROH - owned by a larger media company - doesn't have their shit together in getting their back catalog out there.

I tried a few years ago to get the old shows and just gave up and did torrents after seeing the eBay prices for some of it.

I have every show from the first few years of ROH on 1st Gen VHS in a big box in my closet, and then another huge box of DVD's from their next couple of years (some of them unopened.)  I never watch them and likely never will.  I should catalogue them and sell them on eBay, I might make a couple of bucks.

Some are worth a decent chunk of change.

Still, why announce "I got them illegally"?

That being said, the batch of early ROH DVD's I was gonna give away?
Up for bidding. 😄

I remember when they had a couple of handfuls of out of print shows available as .ISO downloads to burn yourself around the time Adam Pearce was in charge, at pretty reasonable prices. I was more than happy to throw them a few bucks and go that route rather than have to eBay or torrent shit, but then it just quietly died out and that was the end of it.

I think Dalton is hurt, back injury or something. It came up when they took the six man titles off him and the Boys.

Just now getting around to watching the PPV from last Friday. No match has really been bad but no match has reached that next level either. I only have the main event left to watch but every match so far has felt like it was about five minutes too short & that the performers are holding back. It reminds me of a house show before a big PPV where everyone is trying to be safe. I don't know, it's weird. It doesn't feel like a big show, it feels like it's sort of just there. Like watching a throwaway Smackdown episode.

Throwaway is kind of how RoH has felt in general for the last year and a half. It feels like everything is filler for something bigger but that bigger thing never comes.

Great interview with ROH COO Joe Koff.

He says all the right things, but as someone who has dipped his toe periodically into ROH a couple of times over the past year and walked away extremely unimpressed, I'm not sure how much of his words are based in reality.

I caught a bit of the Cody Rhodes promo about Roman Reigns' failed drug tests, etc. and had to turn it off. He comes across as someone cosplaying a top guy main event wrestler - like a kid dressing up in his daddy's clothes for Halloween (although, in this case, the proverbial daddy is more Flair than Dusty). Not an ounce of believability or legitimacy whatsoever. Sorry, folks, WWE didn't miss the boat on this guy at all.

That was embarrassing to watch, his promo had no flow or life to it just spewing a bunch of clichés "each and every one of you" really?

Also does he have an illness or problem with his voice or has it been that long since I last heard him speak?

For your sanity do not go to the comments of that video.

Cody Rhodes as the partner to Hardcore Holly or Goldust was really fun to watch. Cody Rhodes as a main eventer is really tough to watch.
