Jeanne is pretty hateable and does her job really well here. They show an old photo of Chris Adams, which is a pretty lame piece of supposed dirt. Adams is out, still in a neckbrace. He tells Adams she hasn't gotten rid of him. He suckerpunches Austin and they brawl their way into the ring. Austin ends up attacking his neck and we have ourselves an impromptu match. Austin takes off the neckbrace and wraps him by the neck in the ropes.

 

Jeanne comes in to throw a few slaps at Adams while Austin holds him, but this time, we have a new twist to the feud. Toni Adams is officially part of this feud. She hits the ring and goes after Jeanne and even socks Austin. The catfight pops the Sportatorium crowd in a big way. She cuts a surprisingly good promo promising revenge. Motive, Intent, Hype, as the old Scott Keith thing went.

Good promo from both Austin and Jeannie, weirdness over the photograph aside. Another super-hot brawl between these two. Just when Adams is getting bitched out again by Austin and Jeannie, Toni Adams runs from the locker room, takes out Jeannie, and then actually has the brass to try to take on Austin. We get an Adams comeback as well as a Toni/Jeannie catfight. Austin throws Toni across the ring but that only barely deters her. Fired-up promo from Toni afterward as this feud kicks into another gear.

Really awesome segment with Jeannie doing a great heel promo talking about how every guy watching her on tv is lusting after her. The brawl was good and Toni rushing down really showed a lot of fire in her interaction and promo. Anybody thinking ECW was the first company to produce "catfights" is mistaken.

This is a great segment. I'm a sucker for the neck brace angle. The girls cat fight was done real well.

Jeannie is stacked! Austin wants to talk about himself. Adams shows up with neck brace on. Adams is kind of crazy. The Chair! These USWA TX announcers really care about their chair. Jeannie slaps around Adams. Another blonde shows up and we get the ECW cat fight. Oh, it’s Adam’s wife. Angry woman promo but decent effort for probably her first time or so.

Toni had been there the year prior, weilding a kendo stick. I think Billy Travis spanked her in the ring once while Chris was handcuffed.

Great stuff, first with Jeannie being pretty bitchy, then a great brawl, and capped off by Toni Adams entering the feud on Chris' behalf. Fun times.

I think the women outdid the men here. You really get the feeling that they could slap each other around all day long, and both promos were gold.

 

I don't know what the story with Chris's picture was; there was nothing remotely scandalous about it, even in a kayfabe sense.

 

I'm glad Toni showed up, because Chris has been giving Austin and Jeannie far too much of this feud. Now it seems like we're in for a little fairer fight.

Toni cuts an awesome promo and I'm excited the ladies are fully involved now. This is where it really heats up. Anyway, Toni is totally fired up and raging, and the brawl between the two is vicious. Always interesting to see these early Austin promos, sometimes he really sounds like Stone Cold and sometimes I can't hear it at all. Couldn't really hear it here, but not in a bad way.

Steve Austin and Jeannie are out for an interview with Craig Johnson and he says about how the barbed wire match took quite a toll on both of them, but Austin doesn’t want to talk about that, he wants to talk about his favourite subject in the world, himself! He’s on his way to the top, he’s proven that over and over again, and with Jeannie by his side he can’t be beaten. He’s beaten Chris Adams in a cage match, in a barbed wire match, scientifically, every which way he can! He was supposed to face him again last night but he’s a coward and chickened out claiming he’s got a neck injury. He ended up adding Billy Joe Travis to his list instead, and he’ll walk on everyone he has to walk on on his way to the top, because that’s where he is heading. Jeannie says how she told everyone that Chris Adams was a coward and it was proven last night. She has another picture for her book and then cuts the same promo about all the overweight husbands at home with their wives drooling over her.

 

Adams makes his way to the ring and he’s wearing a neck brace. He tells Jeannie that if she thinks she’s got rid of him she’s got another thing coming, but while he goes off at her she continually is poking him in the chest. He attacks Austin and the two of them fight around ringside and eventually into the ring, with Jeannie cheerleading her man on. Adams is getting the better of things, he whips Austin into the ropes ready to give him a backdrop, but Austin comes back with a clubbing blow to the back of the neck instead. He rips the neck brace off and ties Adams neck up in the ropes. Jeannie steps into the ring, Austin puts a full nelson on Adams and she starts slapping him across his face. As she continues to paintbrush him, the crowd start going wild and its TONI ADAMS running down the aisle. She goes straight for Jeannie, slugs her and then slaps Austin too. Austin goes after her but Adams takes him down and it’s an ECW-style catfight between the women. Austin pulls Toni off Jeannie and throws her to the canvas and the two of them make their escape with Jeannie in hot pursuit.

 

We then get an interview from Toni and she says that she’s back and tells Jeannie to listen and to listen carefully. She insulted her family, she’s hit Chris, she’s tried to ruin his career and now she thinks she’s going to try and ruin their marriage? She’s had enough and next time Jeannie ever tries to interfere, she’ll be there!

 

I always talk about seeing the improvement in Austin week on week, but you can see it in Jeannie here. For the first time she comes across comfortable in front of the camera, and she really is that bitch that they want her to be. She’s great at ringside, plays her role perfectly, it’s just those damn slaps that need some work on. Great to have Toni finally join the feud and she certainly doesn’t need any help with her slaps! Decent fired up little promo from her at the end also.

Toni really takes it to Jeannie here. This is a great feud, but it's still the number two feud of the year so far. Memphis USWA has it beat right now.

Hot segment, and not just because of the CATFIGHT !!! CATFIGHT !! CATFIGHT !! (yeah, hard to not hear Joey Styles when the two blondes are rolling around). Excellent promos from everyone involved (not familiar with Tony but she sure cut a fired up, believable one here), excellent brawl. Jeannie signaling "broken neck" to the cameras before slapping Adams was quite bitchy. Perfectly executed.
