As much as we joke about the HHH thing, I really think it's a typical WWF directive for certain wrestlers not to be portrayed as weak in commercials. Notice that neither the Hogan nor Warrior buddy take a single bump in this commercial, but DiBiase is flying all over the place.

This was definitely a "softer" toy commercial than we're used to from the WWF. There was a regular toy commercial-type voiceover, a goofy skit with parents and kids, and a general air of cuddliness about the whole thing. I kind of liked the more action-packed commercials with a WWF announcer doing the voiceover and more of a wrestling atmosphere. Then again, these were stuffed toys instead of action figures, so maybe Vince thought a change in style was warranted.

Interesting to learn about which buddies bumped and which didn't. Talk about micromanagement from Vince! How in the world did a well-respected toy company like Tonka put up with stuff like that?
