Paul E. is doing this interview now to avoid CNN scooping the Dangerous Alliance reveal. Please. He announces each member of the Dangerous Alliance, and for reasons I'll never understand, this is the only time they were ever all together for an interview. Paul E. does a great job explaining the role of each person in the group, and again, WCW looks like they have stumbled on to something.

Steamboat and Rhodes are out, and WCW being WCW, they still spend too much time hyping an Omni show that almost no one watching will ever be able to see.

Heyman doesn’t want CNN breaking news regarding the Dangerous Alliance. Paul: “Ross, you’re a big football fan.” New members of the Alliance are Larry Z and Arn Anderson. Don’t stop there though as Austin is also a part of the team. No Lady Blossom. And finally Bobby Eaton. I felt like this should have been on a bigger stage but it is an impressive group.

And the Dangerous Alliance is fully formed. A clever touch to have Arn & Zbyszko join the group because they sought legal advice in the wake of their controversial tag title loss. To get back at WCW for swapping out Windham for Steamboat on the Enforcers, "BattleStars '91" will see the Dangerous Alliance do a switch of their own: Zbyszko is out of the tag title match, tag specialist Bobby Eaton is in. Rhodes and Steamboat are not impressed. A brawl is teased, but the babyfaces walk away without incident.

There had to be more full-team DA interviews, right? There's the "Paulie Awards" angle and a promo that saw Paul E. introduce everyone before screaming last rites in Latin that I remember, that I could have sworn had all the members involved.

We get a great promo revealing each member of the Dangerous Alliance and they look like an imposing group. The omni hyping is still really bizarre. Paul E leading the charges of all of these is great. I really like the Enforcers coming into the fold because of legal advice.

This is a lot more like it. Heyman's at his shooty best here, talking about how the Dangerous Alliance is going to make the suits at WCW crawl. I love how he exposes the inner workings of wrestling contracts, saying that substitutions such as Steamboat for Windham at the Clash would never be allowed in any other sport because they're inherently unfair, which is true. Then he goes on to introduce each member of the group.

Eaton as one of Sting's best friends is a little hard to swallow, but it sets up his turn nicely enough. Larry is the "enforcer" of the group, and his transformation from sniveling coward to surprisingly effective tough guy is complete. He's the one guy I never expected the nickname "Cruncher" to fit, but it does, and quite nicely too.

As for the original Enforcer, he's now teaming with his real-life best friend Eaton, which should be something to see given their tag team experience. Austin without Jeannie makes sense here, since Medusa's part of the group and also since Jeannie wasn't doing much of anything anyway. With Heyman doing the vast majority of the talking, she would have been superfluous here.

We only hear from Steamboat for a few seconds, but he seems to have improved quite a bit on the mic. He's more direct and focused than he was in the WWF, where since he was playing an Oriental karate master, his promos tended to be more stiffly formal in an attempt to make him sound ethereal. I loved him calling Eaton "squirt".

If we hear more stuff like this from Heyman and less idiotic screaming, and if his guys get it done in the ring like they can, this group could rival the Horsemen as best stable in WCW history by the time all is said and done. Only time will tell.

Great promo and I really like the group put together here. Not sure I can get behind breaking up the Enforcers as they are a great, great tag team. I do love Bobby Eaton though, so it might work. Here's something WCW execs should have thought about. Atlanta may be your backyard, but if you're trying to be a national promotion you have to make your big shows NATIONAL! Explain why people anywhere but Atlanta or the surrounding area give the first half of a shit about the Omni and I'll accept this as a good idea.
