Vince's frustration at Bret's anti-American lines are hilarious, as are the "U.S. Sucks" chants. Bret calls the Americans full of crap. JR talks about none of the stuff next week when they are in Pittsburgh! Oh, JR. Owen wants Austin to sucks his toes. Getting creepy here. Cornette has a hilarious rant about having to go Halifax in his '97 timeline, maybe they were starved for entertainment. Bret calls the U.S. one giant toilet bowl, because most American wrestlers are full of crap. Bret, Owen, and Bulldog all throw out challenges for the six-man flag match to their respective SummerSlam opponents. It is great how the venues and cities themselves are becoming characters and product influences in their own right. We've gone from Bret's hometown to Shawn's hometown back to Bret's country, back to the U.S. the next week, all of which is going to have a unique impact on what's going to happen on a particular show. Bret cuts an anti-American promo & Vince is indignant about all of it. This was a strong promo as Bret, Owen, & Davey run down their Summerslam opponents & name them as the guys they want to face in tonight's flag match. Austin comes out & accepts the challenge saying he'll stick their toes up their asses in response to Owen's "toe sucking" comment. Tremendous segment.
