No one cares about HHH at all. Shawn talks about his triumph at DX before he gets to Owen Hart. Shawn says DX has destroyed the entire Hart Family foundation once for all and makes the famed "nugget" comparison involving Owen. He says he's not leaving the ring until someone drags Owen out there because he has a feeling he's in the building. They are going to kill time by playing strip poker. Oh great.

 

DOA is out and we go to commercial break. Shawn and Hunter are both missing a few garments but in a funny gag, Chyna remains fully clothed. Then the Headbangers come out as Jim Ross complains about the WWF champion sitting in the ring in his damned underwear. The Headbangers flip the table and get a bottle of Jack Daniels smashed over their heads for it. Shawn doing an underwear beatdown is so bizarre. Shawn decides to jiggle his junk then lay on the top turnbuckle and spread his legs to the crowd before Owen Hart comes out. He gets in a few punches and HHH tries to stop him before he rushes out through the crowd.

 

God, Shawn is the worst.

Ross wanted the Stone Cold era to begin badly. I hated the nugget reference for Owen. It didn’t make this clip but they would move the poker game outside the ring during matches. Headbangers got destroyed. I'm waiting for Sting to show up and hit Michaels in the balls with a baseball bat. Owen does makes a quick appearance and gets a few blows in on Michaels before escaping through crowd.

DX have a long winded promo where Owen gets called a nugget. We then get an inspired game of strip poker where Shawn does one of his biggest jobs of the year in. He is in his skeevies as the attack on The Headbangers occurs. The powerbomb through the card table couldn't have felt good. Owen finally comes out and gets in a few shots before bailing through the crowd. Owen feels really special here. Ross absolutely hates this DX stuff you can tell.

HHH still hasn't gotten any better as a promo and his line about the missile being asleep and Sarge's wife dreaming ends up making no sense. Shawn recites a pretty rote promo but I've always cracked up at him referring to himself as "thrice" WWF Champion. Then a horrifyingly drawn-out analogy about Owen Hart being a nugget, the less said the better even though it's not going to go away. Eventually the Headbangers come out for a match and pay for flipping over the poker table. This goes on and on until Owen finally breaks it up.

 

The best things about these DX segments that I'm going to have cling to are JR's reactions. Between DX, Goldust, Mero, and even the Jackyl's ramblings, this was a golden age for classic Jim Ross Disgust. "The WWF has champions it can really be proud of!"

Shawn talks about how great he is for a few minutes before bringing up Owen's attack at IYH. He says the Hart family are one big steaming turd & Owen is the nugget that can't be flushed. The nugget insult is born. Those are some harsh words from Shawn. What an asshole. He decides that DX will play poker until Owen shows up so he can deal with the last remaining member of the Hart Foundation. Chyna suggests they play strip poker since Shawn promised to walk out naked a few weeks earlier. They play strip poker & Chyna remains clothed the whole time which is funny. This goes on through a DOA-Boricuas match. The Headbangers are scheduled for a match & flip the poker table over. DX beats them up. They powerbomb one of them through the poker table. This goes on & on & on. Finally, Owen shows up & tackles Shawn, who's in his underwear from the poker game, & beats on him before heading back into the crowd. The worst image during the entire segment is Shawn playing with his penis on air. It's important to point out that there was no heat for this except for when Owen came out. Otherwise, the fans didn't care. Silly segment that had it's moments, but I can't stand DX.
