You can tell WWE is down on Mero, with Jim Ross saying from the booth that Sable has done more to draw attention to his career than anything he has ever done on his own ... and he has even been the Intercontinental Champion! That line is funny in 1998 but a kneeslapper in 2014! Mero showed up expecting Sable to have someone wrestling to defend her honor, but she insists on winning her freedom herself. Anyway, Mero lays down and says he's going to let Sable pin him, but he pulls a fast one on her, rolling her up to pin her. Oh no, Sable isn't free! She also has to leave the WWF forever! For-ever! He suckers Sable into a phony pinfall and then reverses it into a pin himself, and then jumps up and celebrates like he won the Royal Rumble.
