Keep in mind that Bischoff is standing right there. Jericho talks about his upcoming match with Rey at Bash at the Beach. JJ Dillon is out to say that's not going to fly with the famed Executive Committee. Malenko shows up quickly and has to be restrained. Dillon claims there can be no physical contact between Malenko and Jericho before Bash at the Beach or their No DQ match is off. Jericho decides to take advantage of this and starts egging him on. They close up with Jericho seemed poised to say something nice to Dean, only to point out that his dad was on the road all the time and that he and his brother look nothing alike. This was lots of fun once again as Y2J antagonises Dean with a series of insults. He holds out for a few lines, but the Iceman has snapped and has as much self control as Ken Shamrock these days. We set up this scenario where Jericho and Dean can't touch each other until the Bash, and we establish it and blow it off in the span of 3 minutes, 6 days before the show. Consider how much more effective this could have been with Jericho trying to egg Dean on over a number of weeks while trying to restrain from attacking Dean himself.
