I recall it was very rare when Superstars and Challenge would hype one and likewise, they didn't seem to hype PPV"s all that often. I think I remember reading this was done on purpose, SNME had to be kept separate from the rest of the company in a sense, in order to make NBC play ball. But yeah, I can see it more of an keep this a separate entity thing for NBC. Maybe thats why they had Fight Forever with the Savage-Steele fued on the SNMEs. Granted they did Jake-Savage, but its almost like they wanted to be safe especially knowing what was coming in a few weeks, as opposed to running someone fresh that might throw a wrench into the plans for the title change due to a massive reaction versus Savage? JKWebb Posted November 8, 2017 Report Share Posted November 8, 2017 I watched the Prime Time prior to WM3 as well, and I was kind of surprised at the lack of push to purchase the PPV as well. They did mention it more than the SNME, but the matches they showed weren't really a huge push towards the PPV. Bobby and Guerilla had their usual back and forth about Hogan and Andre, and they mentioned the show was 6 days away, but they didn't come out and say go buy the PPV (or mention it right before they went off the air). I found it a little odd. Maybe there are some commercials that are edited out of the Network that we don't see. Or, maybe I'm just so used to being beaten over the head with things now it just felt like they didn't push it that hard. I will add I loved that episode of SNME. El Boricua Posted November 28, 2017 Report Share Posted November 28, 2017 Started listening to the Wrestlemania 3 episode and wanted to chime in about the Race vs. JYD match. If I'm remembering correctly, this was supposed to be JYD's last appearance, which is why Race ends up winning a match that you would have expected JYD to win due to the build. The post match was probably their way to give JYD a send off to the fans cheers. They would end up bringing JYD back about three months later due to a rash of injuries and/or drug suspensions (also Steamboat took time off due to his son being born) left them thin on the face side. El Boricua Posted November 28, 2017 Report Share Posted November 28, 2017 In my case it's gotten better in terms of supply access, but going on now to three months without electricity (since Hurricane Irma so before Maria tore through here). Have no idea when it'll come back (it's likely it will be sometime in 2018). I've been fortunate that my office rented a temporary workspace in a place that does have electricity, so I can at least charge up my phone and tablet there during the day (and I've been able top catch up on my podcast backlog at work). Other than the dark nights and driving on streets that resemble a demolition derby since there are no streetlights, it's gotten better in my case.
