You know who I think would have made a good winner instead of Studd (and I know it's a bit in hindsight)? Brutus Beefcake should have won it. I'm being completetly serious. That said...they did want Studd as a B-show main eventer, doing a quick run around the loop with Ted before moving on to Andre, so I can see why he made sense at the time.
