It will be interesting to see where the turn is for Honky Tonk Man to become a slug that you couldn't wait to see get the belt off of, as opposed to a great heel finally getting his comeuppance.  I know in the original 1988 SummerSlam episode Scott was giddy about being "about time" HTM got receipts and looked at the lights more often than not.

Also I wonder at what point the idea started that Hogan and Savage would main event WM V.  Obviously it was a year long plotted story line, but did they start to realize that's what they wanted in March, or was it back here in the Fall of 1987?  I guess a good spark towards that would be when No Holds Barred was green lit, so whenever that was going to be a thing is another good suggested time.

According to Meltzer, they settled on the idea of running a year-long Hulk versus Macho Man program in the final weeks leading up to Mania 4. You could research for the date that they changed the brackets for the WM4 tourney to get a more specific idea of when they switched plans from DiBiase over to Savage.

I remember PTBs WM Rewind series on IV had Parv combing through the WOs to pinpoint when the switch was made.

When was SummerSlam first at least rumored to be a thing? That could have been the time to give Savage the belt after chasing DiBiase since Mania.

Just finishing up the latest show, and my guess is that the cage stip for Graham vs Reed was pretty much for drawing purposes only, rather than something that was necessary based on booking, since the roster was spread thin and they didn't have a really big match to pack them in. That they sold out MSG that night is really impressive considering all the Hogan headlined shows that failed to do so

Is Scott going to do a pop culture corner for Monday, Thursday and Saturday of that one week? One of my favorite movies of all time came out that week....

Probably never going to have a situation again with three shows this close together.

If they make it through 1990, they'll have Survivor Series, the Main Event, and the November MSG show on consecutive days.

The Golden Girls gags from seven(!?) years ago are still pretty funny even in retrospect, due to how the Glamour Girls were being presented.

Recently on another board someone went off on how bad it was that Alexa Bliss was giving an ageist promo on the 38-year old Mickie James! Not too far off from making age jokes at veterans expense when it seems thats what the Fed probably wanted you to think when you saw Martin and Kais act as a team.

I was glad to hear you guys praise the show after listening to Prichard's podcast on this a few months back.  They sort of trashed the matches, and I enjoyed it just as much as you guys did.  Fun show!
