This wasn't even Russo, even though it was his influence obviously. Did anyone joke at the time that they thought Andre was his father? The idea of Show coming to the realization that he's been coasting on his physical ability and not really putting his all into wrestling and turning that around to give him a major main event push is good in theory. PeteF3 Posted November 19, 2017 Report Share Posted November 19, 2017 Oddly the climax of all this (as well as the follow-up with Show's mother) was one of my Dad's all-time favorite angles--as a retired police officer and fan of the heels, he was a huge Boss Man fan. Now having gone through a time earlier this summer where my Dad went from vaguely ill to dead from pancreatic cancer in the span of a few weeks this is...well, odd to look back on. I'm not going to pretend I'm suddenly offended now, nor will I ever defend this as good booking. This interview specifically is a particularly low point of this whole feud.
