With two big shows coming up, several AWA wrestlers and promoter Verne Gagne appeared on a popular Twin Cities television show this morning. Be sure to check out what went down:

What was Gary Young doing between 1980-1985? He started wrestling in 1978 but he kind of totally drops off the map during that period.

I am glad you specified detective so I didn't waste a few hours desperately trying to find a picture of Gary Young in a police uniform with his big perm.

I have my July 4th TV taping all done now and am fighting the urge to post it a little bit early just to keep myself from tweaking it any more.

Good matchups on paper. Interesting you brought in Backlund as a heel.

Found this site with some old cards listed for ICW. I'm amazed at the talent that came through this 'outlaw' promotion and really wish more footage had survived. That's one of the greatest parts about this is finding out more about promotions and wrestlers I wasn't familiar with.

I'd also appreciate some feedback on my cards and results. The first TV episode was a little over the top maybe. We had the Jimmy Hart/Moondogs stuff in place. When I was able to book Funk it became a clusterfuck and turned into the Terry Funk Show.

Should I try to make it more like Stampede proper?

I don't even know what "Stampede proper" is. I don't have a great feel for what makes Stampede different except it was pretty much all JIP matches and they did a lot of post match interviews in the ring.

You should just book it however you want, in the way that gives you the most satisfaction.

If you mad eit more like Stampede with Ed Whalen shit editing and rambling about blood and guts, I would stop reading your reports.

I think you have a great roster and I like the way you're using it so far. I loved the Terry Funk stuff
