Shit, I don't blame them. It's free money if you're in the know.

Many years from now...

Triple H: What is it, Pop?

Vince: (Grips Paul's hand) You have to promise me one thing...

Triple H: Anything, Pop.

Vince: You have to keep Kevin Dunn employed for life.

Triple H: *Gulps* Okay, Pop.

Vince: Unless, of course, he commits an egregious violation...

(Triple H grins.)

Vince: ...but he won't.

A few weeks later...

WWE.com has learned that WWE has released WWE executive Kevin Dunn for placing bets on WrestleMania results with several Vegas casinos. WWE wishes him the best in his future endeavors.

Still mystified by Zack's massive WrestleMania upset win and feel-good moment only for him to be right back at the bottom a week later. At the very least, you'd think they would've run Miz vs. Zack at Payback instead of Smackdown.

I guess there were two reasons for Zack's win at Mania: (1) to open the show with a huge surprise and (2) so that the non-wrestlers could get their WM bonuses betting on Ryder.

Yea I said this right after Mania and not at all in a joking way. He was like dead last in the odds until the day before when he suddenly became the favorite which to me says everyone who was in the know put money on him.

Which is why betting on wrestling should be illegal IMO. You probably have a locker room full of Pete Roses.

On the one hand in spirit it is comparable to insider trading, on the other hand no one forces anyone else being part of this rigged game. Honestly I don't feel sorry for anyone who is losing money betting on pro wrestling in 2016 while some insiders make some cash. I mean it's not like it is 1916 where nobody knew that they were marks if they would bet on pro wrestling.

Not sure if I'm recalling my facts wrong (don't have time to look it up), but I could swear that Dutch (or "Zeb")'s health has made travel hard. I'm also not sure what his contract was like but would've guessed that it was always a short-term deal. At least by getting on TV a bit over the past few years, he can ask more at autograph signings and whatnot. I'm not saying it doesn't suck to get released, but it does suck worse for guys that are in their prime. I wouldn't even be surprised to see the Zeb character show up in the future sporadically for big shows or Network shows or whatever - like Backlund and Okerlund and whoever else.

And, at least a few years ago when books first started taking action, the max bet is $50

The post production on that Chris Jericho opening segment on Smackdown was amusing. Cutaways to the crowd showing kids with thumbs down and a piped in 'You suck' chant from some other time in the show that the audience had clearly been prompted to say. When they cut back to Jericho in the ring the crowd wasn't doing anything like what they were showing on the supposedly contemporaneous cutaway shots.

At another time they failed to match the audio up with the supposed chanting and the people they cut to in the crowd were chanting different stuff. All a bit unnecessary.
