Okay, so for those of you interested in "random injuries" go ahead and sign up on here and then post your 36 wrestlers like so

  1. Andre The Giant
  2. Roddy Piper
  3. Gino Hernandez
  4. Randy Savage w/ Miss Elizabeth
  5. Tony Atlas
  6. King Kong Bundy
  7. Ivan Koloff
  8. Nikita Koloff
  9. The Barbarian
  10. Brutus Beefcake
  11. Jim Brunzell
  12. Brian Blair
  13. Bret Hart
  14. Jim Neidhart
  15. Davey Boy Smith
  16. Dynamite Kid
  17. Super Machine
  18. Strong Machine
  19. Haku
  20. Jake Roberts
  21. David Sammartino
  22. Tito Santana
  23. Ron Bass
  24. Mark Youngblood
  25. Jay Youngblood
  26. Greg Valentine
  27. Chris Adams
  28. Harley Race
  29. Blackjack Lanza
  30. Blackjack Mulligan
  31. Bobby Fulton
  32. Tommy Rogers
  33. Scott Casey
  34. Big John Studd
  35. Hillbilly Jim
  36. Black Bart

So in this scenario... I was able to protect Hogan and then take out my managers and jobber packs... plus I had to take out my three way trade with AWA and NWA so here are my 36.

Now I need to go through this list and put them in groups of six...

Group 1

  1. Andre The Giant
  2. Hillbilly Jim
  3. Harley Race
  4. Blackjack Lanza
  5. Tommy Rogers
  6. Bobby Fulton

Group 2

  1. Dynamite Kid
  2. Davey Boy Smith
  3. Bret Hart
  4. Jim Neidhart
  5. Jim Brunzell
  6. Brian Blair

Group 3

  1. Tony Atlas
  2. King Kong Bundy
  3. Jake Roberts
  4. Roddy Piper
  5. Tito Santana
  6. Big John Studd

Group 4

  1. Gino Hernandez
  2. Chris Adams
  3. Super Machine
  4. Strong Machine
  5. Ron Bass
  6. Blackjack Mulligan

Group 5

  1. Nikita Koloff
  2. Ivan Koloff
  3. The Barbarian
  4. Brutus Beefcake
  5. Greg Valentine
  6. Scott Casey

Group 6

  1. Mark Youngblood
  2. Jay Youngblood
  3. Randy Savage
  4. David Sammartino
  5. Black Bart
  6. Haku

So now that I have my 6 groups... I have to roll the dice six times and whichever numbers I get will then go into the main draw...

  1. Roll was a 5 - Tommy Rogers
  2. Roll was a 1 - Dynamite Kid
  3. Roll was a 2 - King Kong Bundy
  4. Roll was a 2 - Chris Adams
  5. Roll was a 5 - Greg Valentine
  6. Roll was a 1 - Mark Youngblood

Damn... this is a tough draw... so now I roll the dice to see which of the six will be chosen...

Roll was a 6... THANK GOD - Mark Youngblood will be injured... now I roll to see how long... roll is a 1... so Mark will be injured for 1 month... so all in all nothing too terrible. I would then have the month of April to get him injured and keep him out for that time... now say he is injured on April 15th... he is eligible to come back May 15th...

The problem with this is that now I jump right back into another draw... this time it would be someone getting injured in May...

I want to play with the strategy of how you set up your packs and what that means... do I overload packs or even them out for chance... all in the game.

For you to go on... simply do the same thing I did here.... we can always post everything right here in the thread to keep up with all of it....

Then at the bottom of your thread...

WWF - Mark Youngblood - Fractured Orbital Bone - Out 1 Month...

Taking my 47 wrestlers as listed on the roster page and throwing out a random number generator to figure out who gets injured. If it happens to pick Black Terry or Babe Face, I will re do it, since they are off to Japan for three months.

I will then do a 1-12 number generator to see how long they are out for.

I will then flip a coin, heads the injury is out of ring and is immediate, tails it happens at the person's next match.

There we go, let's see what happens!

33=Negro Casas

Fuck shit damn fucking shit! This stinks!

Hopefully the injury is short!

6=6 months.

Ok............

Now the coin:

Tails=next match.

So there you go, Negro Casas will suffer a severe Achilles tendonitis which will keep him out for 6 months.

Yeah, I might proceed that way for May when Samu returned. When I did the full roster, it ended up being Jim Cornette so I re-did it with the 36 and protected roster. Some months, I'll do the protection list, some not.

What sucks is the big match I had planned for mid July will now have to be modified.

Ouch! Probably the biggest loss so far.

I'm not saving anyone, everybody is at risk!

EDIT: Next time I will do 1-52 weeks instead of 1-12 months though.

I do like the idea of 1-52 for the number generator as a hybrid to go with the dice/36 down to one option. I may do that as well... problem I always find is I do the generator like 5-10 times with my eyes closed before really "settling" on the number.

I did it once and went with it. It is what it is.

Like I said...Random.org is the absolute best. They're truly random. That's what I used for the injury wire.

This time, I decided to use Grimmas' method and I didn't protect anyone. Using the random number generator on my roster and using weeks rather than months.

Roster member: 35 (Bob Sweetan)

Number of weeks out: 50

Bob Sweetan is out of action until mid-April 1986 due to a Displaced Olecrannon Fracture.

I use the TEW injury database. There are 419 injuries listed in there. I try to use one that would fit with the amount of time that the wrestler would miss. Later this month, if you want me to, I'll list them all here in the Injury Wire thread.
