That guy. The guy who has a really Japanese name but doesn't look that Japanese. Best known for having one of the best shootstyle matches of the 2000s with Tamura, which I rewatched yesterday and could comfortably call the best U-Style match. As far as I can tell he only has one other match on tape, which is against one Kyosuke Saskai and is also in U-Style. That match doesn't have the drama and flow of the Tamura one ,but it still left me intrigued and hungry for more Mishima. He could be the 'flashiest' shoot style worker I've seen, incorporating cartwheel kicks, imanari rolls and massive suplexes, like a more tidy Ikeda on the feet and a less tidy Otsuka on the ground. Is there any more of him out there? Are any of his shoot fights worked or worth checking out? How would you rank him in the echelon of the style?

Badass crazy grappler guy. His Boneyard submission is one of my favourite moves ever mostly because I've used it succesfully in real grappling.

Him vs. Manabu Hara is on Ditch's site.

Here are all his U-Style matches:

U-STYLE #2
6. April 2003 @ Differ Ariake in Tokyo, Tokyo (Japan)
Kiyoshi Tamura vs. Dokonjonosuke*Mishima

U-STYLE #3
29. Juni 2003 @ Umeda Stella Hall in Osaka, Osaka (Japan)
Dokonjonosuke*Mishima vs. Kyosuke Sasaki

U-STYLE #5
9. Dezember 2003 @ Korakuen Hall in Tokyo, Tokyo (Japan)
Dokonjonosuke*Mishima vs. Ryuki Ueyama

U-STYLE 1st Anniversary Show
4. Februar 2004 @ Korakuen Hall in Tokyo, Tokyo (Japan)
Dokonjonosuke*Mishima vs. Manabu Hara

U-STYLE @ Osaka
13. März 2004 @ Umeda Stella Hall in Osaka, Osaka (Japan)

U-STYLE @ Tokyo
7. Dezember 2004 @ Korakuen Hall in Tokyo, Tokyo (Japan)
Dokonjonosuke*Mishima vs. Crafter M

He was also in Shooto, DEEP, UFC and PRIDE. I guess opinions vary on whether all his fights there were legit, however, stuff like this happened at DEEP shows:

Saeki Matsuri ~ DEEP Fan's Appreciation Show
28. Dezember 2003 @ Differ Ariake in Tokyo, Tokyo (Japan)
Super Delfin & Ebessan vs. Dokonjonosuke*Mishima & Masanori Suda [Osaka Pro vs. DEEP]

You can see all his fights on this site if you click on the promotions per year (SPOILERS!!!): http://genickbruch.c...ild=1&details=7

Many thanks, can't wait to get watching. Is the Boneyard move that banana split/ankle lock thing or is it something else.

The 12/04 Crafter M match is a fantastic undercard shoot style match
