New show for this week to kick off what I am calling a Fortnight of Funk....Terry Funk. Starting with his NWA run from May 1989 (NWA Pro May 20, 1989) before he was advised to tone it down, lest he hurt someone's feelings.

- It is kind of funny that Funk comes in right as Road House is released, but isn't really there to promote the movie or anything (which I am sure was the idea with Batista in 2014)

- Lance Russell is so amazing in the episode with his interplay with Funk and how upset he gets that the Rookie Challenge match is interrupted.

- I was quite hard on the Ron Simmons-Randy Rose match but I didn't enjoy it in the least.

- The Dynamic Dudes video where they eat pizza and shop for skateboards is the kind of unintentional comedy I crave.

Just posted episode #30, a WWF TNT episode from August 16, 1985.

I figured that doing a talk show might be difficult given that there isn't much in-ring stuff, but actually it was a refreshing change. Plenty of hilarity with Vince in his Johnny Carson role: Tony Garea talking about sheep in New Zealand, Jim Neidhart predicts wrestling internet culture without knowing what that is, Paul Orndorff gets upset about the bounty leading to a musical mashup, and Terry Funk starts and finishes a barroom brawl.

As I've said time and again, this pod is consistently awesome, and this week Peter has crafted a great tribute to Bobby Heenan

New show from last Thursday was on ECW from February 1998. Lot of bizarre personal confessions relating to towels, Tom and Jerry, and probably other stuff I can't remember. And I didn't even get to my story of acting like The Sandman in a frat house one time.

When I thought of doing a podcast about weekly wrestling TV, this week's show was one that I always wanted to do. NWA Worldwide from March 29, 1986 but that's not the important thing: it's the Jimmy Valiant/Pez Whatley haircut angle!

- Joe Coltrane is a guy who was never on my radar, but at least he had that one spot where he got suckered by Whatley.

- Dusty Rhodes calls Tully Blanchard a "honky" and says "the bruthas know what I'm talking about..."

- Since it gets talked about so much, I give a theory for why Pez was carrying a scissors in his dress slacks

- How 1986 Jim Cornette was kinda like Milhouse Van Houten

Great show! Along with BTS and PTBN you are quickly becoming one of my favorite podcasts. Early 90s WCW gets allot of criticism, but it's still one of the best eras to relive! I noticed something crazy...everywhere Ventura was working, is where the most over and entertaining product was! How much credit should Jesse get? As soon as Jesse left WWF, the WWF product turned to shit. Every Ventura Wrestle Mania was great.
