[2000-10-16-WWF-Raw] Eddy Guerrero vs Chris Jericho

No long promo to start Raw tonight and Jericho even mentions that when he comes out. Eddie does cut a two minute short promo but it is really effective as the crowd heat comes out for him along with the Eddie Sucks chants. The match only goes a minute before Eddie takes a monkey flip on his head and the referee calls for the match. This was done in a way where I am unsure if it was legit or not. After the match, X-pac runs down and attacks Jericho until Mr. Ass makes the save. Gunn is really over with this crowd. ¼*

  • GSR changed the title to [2000-10-16-WWF-Raw] Eddy Guerrero vs Chris Jericho
  • 10 months later...

According to Jim Ross, Eddy Guerrero has a lot of explaining to do over his recent actions, Jerry Lawler though thinks he must be a complete idiot to ditch a woman such as Chyna.  Eddy says that whether they be playmates, ho’s or nice baby dolls, he knows that all the chicks like him.   Chyna became a real pain in the ass with all her crying and moaning and that’s why he let her go.  He goes on to warn Mr Ass that if he sticks his nose in his business again he’s going to kick his ass!  Chris Jericho interrupts things and tells him that for the first time in months Raw isn’t going to start with a twenty minute monologue so please “shut the hell up”.  The match has barely got going when Eddy lands on his head and appears to be legitimately injured.  He does try to buy himself some time on the outside, although that makes no difference as he can’t even run the ropes when Jericho whips him into them.  Tim White has seen enough and calls for the bell stopping the match.  Ross wonders if Eddy is really injured or whether this is just some ruse on his part.  X-Pac attacks Jericho from behind and Billy Gunn makes the save to an electric reaction.  For what it’s worth Gunn goes nowhere near Eddy (you would think he would do after how Eddy spoke about him on his pre-match promo) while Tim White stays close by as if he’s looking after him, indicating to me that this probably was a legit stoppage and wasn’t what was planned.
