New Japan has been teasing a video game announcment at their fan fest today, and it turns out it's them teaming up with the Fire Pro World team for the PS4 release. There will be official edits/rings/aprons along with a NJPW based story mode.

that should be awesome. I've been playing the PC version since it came out on early release and it is great. Reportedly, the Management of the Ring mode is going to be made available as DLC this month. I'll definitely get that. If the NJPW mode is made available for PC I'd consider paying more for that, too.

Great hook for the console version, can't wait (my laptop is the pits). Is there an estimated release date?

Very cool news!
BTW, my guess is that the NJPW tie-in will be retroactively added to the Steam PC version, based on this picture.

Seriously though, great for Fire Pro. I know this game had been on a shoe string budget and was pretty much the developer's passion project, so hopefully this gives it more sales and more money to keep adding to the game.

Totally unexpected. Seemed like NJPW would be more interested in doing a full game for themselves but this is the best case scenario when PS4 likely won't have the same mod community as PC. Super amped.

The Steam version seems to have blown away all expectations, and if the PS4 version does any good at all I'd expect them to at least consider a Switch version.

I have the Steam version on PC and love it so far and I'll probably buy the PS4 copy as well because I'm a big Fire Pro mark but this NJPW license is great! such a big roster they can do and who knows maybe ROH or CMLL might also join in but even if it's just NJPW having licensed characters in Fire Pro is a cool evolution.

Perhaps a silly question but will this be available in the US?
