Are you guys hyped for this? Honestly, the card looks pretty..... daft on paper.

I am beyond stoked. The timing couldn't be better for Okada/Naito and the latter's coronation after the former's all time great title reign. While I've liked all of their matches, they've yet to hit a home run since Okada's first defense back in 2012. Here's hoping they deliver tomorrow but I can't see it disappointing no matter what. I also love that this match is arguably as predictable as any big main event in recent years. The result is almost a lock, but there's always that hint of doubt and even if they stick to the presumed plans I can't wait to see how they get to the finish.

Very intrigued to see how Jay White looks in such a featured role and how strongly he goes over Tanahashi. The possibility of an extended feud leaves open Tanahashi winning, but that wouldn't make much sense given how strongly they built to this night for White.

Not sure what to expect from Omega/Jericho but I don't see any way Omega disappoints on such a big stage.

Suzuki's 2017 was quite a disappointment outside of the Okada matches, but with no interference and such a prominent slot I'm hopeful he delivers.

This doesn't look like it has the potential for as many great matches as WK's of recent years, but just about everything on the show looks fun. The possibility of a snow day tomorrow means I may be able to watch this earlier than planned, but will otherwise go dark to avoid spoilers before then.

Pumped!

One of my few English-speaking friends over here who is into pro wrestling has ordered this up on cable. Gonna watch it on TV as it happens. I am really looking forward to that. Hopefully I can lay my old-man-yelling-at-clouds attitude about current NJPW Overkill Style aside and just enjoy watching a show with a friend.

Its on PPV over there? Will any of it air on TV at a later date? I wasn't sure if locals had to watch on NJPW World or there were other options.

Probably just going to watch the tana match a few days after the show, as for the rest of the card it does not interest me. Naito and okada did have a great match once back in 2012 but since then the way the main event last year went I don't see my self enjoying that match, and unlike some more hardcore njpw fans I have no investment in the naito character.

Jay white is interesting though just to see how he gets on, I expect him to be led by tana in the match (not carried but led) hopefully he gets more comfortable after his dreadful promo he cut a few days ago.

Unfortunately, I don't know. My friend set it all up. All I need to do is watch. I'm assuming it's PPV, though.

I am sort of biting on the Jericho/Omega match a bit. At first I wasn't THAT interested, but the more I think about it the more I think they could wind up doing something really unique within the modern NJPW context. Standing out in context is the name of the game to me right now, so color me interested.

The main should be excellent, no doubt of it.

I actually rewatched some of the NJPW I cherrypicked from last year as part of my year end review. It is a lot of fun, really great high end wrestling, but it doesn't grab me, connect to me, and get me invested, so my overall excitement level feels high, but isperhaps relatively low

Waiting for Dave to drop the big seven stars!

In all fairness, the Jericho and Omega angles last month actually got me pretty interested in their match from my previous position of not caring so hopefully they try to make it a violent fight that stands out from the rest of the card.

I'll end up watching the big matches after the fact, but there's not a single one I'm truly anticipating.

I'm sure the main will deliver in the way that NJ mains do, but I don't feel an affinity for either Okada or Naito.

Jericho-Omega is semi-intriguing if they work some hate into it, but I don't trust Jericho at all. When was his last great big-match performance? If he tries to keep up with Omega athletically, could get ugly.

I've enjoyed broke-down Tanahashi quite a bit so I'm hopeful he can deliver an unexpected MOTN with White, who at least brings some tools.

Can't imagine the junior clusterfuck being anything more than a decent sugar-rush match.

I always hold out hope for Suzuki matches, but Goto is such a void of charisma that I don't expect much more than a generic slugfest.

Regardless, it's always fun to wake up and read the reactions to the show.

Far more interested in for this show than I was for last year's but probably a little less so than I was for the '14-'16 shows.

I've grown to really appreciate Tananashi (particularly in comparison to guys like Omega) and I don't ever doubt his ability to have a great match on a big show. Really loved White as a young lion and hope he doesn't abandon all of what made him good back then just because of where is on the card now. I don't have much expectations at all for Jericho/Omega being a good match but I am really interested in seeing how they work it. Naito vs. Okada should have some strong crowd reactions. Four Way junior match does nothing me. Not a big fan of Goto but I do like the hair stip in his match with Suzuki. The under card is just kind of there but that's not almost always the case.

I'm most intrigued by the Jericho/Omega match. I'm sure Jericho has enough self-awareness to realize that he can't hang with Omega athletically, which is why it has built up as a grudge match. I haven't seen much evidence that either guy is particularly skilled at working a high-end hate-filled brawl, but it should at least provide a change of pace from the other matches on the card.

So far jericho vs Omega is booked exactly as it should be. A fight. Jericho can't hang with Omega in the ring and nobody really wants to see Omega drop down levels to get to 2017 Jericho. I can see Omega doing a hate filled brawl. he had no problems with weapons early in his "Cleaner" gimmick. Jericho has no problem bringing hate either. As long as it stays that way we are good.

I can't see how Okada winning would be the right move. Naito is at the top of the mountain in terms of crowd support and skill. Waiting again another 6 months to year doesn't seem right

Always looking forward to the Rumble match. Usually good for some surprises.

You would think that Jericho would be aware of that during his feud with AJ, but alas, he thought he could hang, and Styles had to basically wrestle in slow motion.

It was awful. At least this one is No DQ.

The match I'm most excited to watch is Okada vs. Naito, primarily because I just want Naito to win the title. I'm not the biggest fan of New Japan's main event style, but I don't think we are going to see a near 50 minute epic (35-40 minute seems more likely) from these two unlike last year's main event.

Other than the rest of LIJ winning their respective championship matches and the hope that Goto gets his head shaved bald, I'm not too interested by the rest of the card. Maybe Omega can get something enjoyable out of Jericho with the No DQ stipulation.

Really excited for the show. Main event should be great. Not sure how Omega-Jericho plays out, although Kenny's done a good job in the past elevating lesser opponents. Hopefully the No DQ setting means more weapon-based violence and not Jericho trying to go move for move with Omega, which could be not good. Have really, really dug Roppongi 3k. They're so good and the Bucks can be counted on for an exciting performance. Junior four-way should be a hoot but I'm really just hoping Hiromu wins. He seems to be hinting going back to his more chaotic Ticking Time Bomb character as opposed to the more comedic one we got at the end of the year. Interested to see what Ibushi can pull out of Cody. Thinking the match should be at least solid. While Jay White hasn't been nailing the character aspect since his return, I've been impressed by what I've seen of his in-ring work. And considering broken-down Tana can still go at a high level, I think this should be good (but I pray he takes some much needed time off after this). Have been really disappointed by Suzuki's run since his return. Age has obviously caught up with him but so many of his matches were bogged down by Suzuki-Gun bullshit. With no interference, he and Goto should be able to put on something at least decent.

Pulling for Nagata to win the Rambo after his 1-8 run in the G-1.
