Defiantly that cage match was off the charts! Dr. D escapes. Cool seeing Missing Link as the mystery partner and he ends up getting the pin on Gilbert. Damn, that was quite a cane shot Percy gave to Lance. Jimmy Jack piledriving Leatherface through a table was also quite the visual. Liking the Dream Team. Even though he got the splash from Kamala, its nice to see Mr. Wrestling 2 with good employment in the twilight of his career.

Big time event in Amarillo and lots to dissect. At the top, I want to see what comes of this Texas Dream now that Dusty is around.

Jimmy Jack vs Leatherface is honestly a guilty pleasure to see especially with Texas Death rules.

You know I am really big on Studd and he is really on top of the world right now, I hope he continues to shine with some roster movement in World Class.

Big time main event... fatal four way... cage.... Schultz has got a real momentum swing right now that we've allowed him to be back in the game... and what a way to capitalize on him. A guy who could run around Texas and be himself... and work his magic.

Flying a bit under the radar is the fact that The Pringle Dynasty is firing all cylinders right now. Picking up major victories left and right seemingly in every event. Big John Studd sure is the force to be reckoned with right now in World Class.

Terry & Dory Funk vs Kerry & Kevin Von Erich

Wow! Something must give here as we have two of the most famous families in all of wrestling will be going after each other. Even though both these teams are currently babyface teams in the WCCW, there is going to be nothing peaceful and technical here. In a wild brawl, we see the action go bonzo gonzo quite often. The Von Erichs seemed on the verge of victory as Dory was down and out and Kevin was perched on the top rope for the Top Rope Splash. Instead Terry Funk rushed over and nailed Kevin who flipped backwards all the way to the arena floor. As everyone seemed to be concerned about Kevin, Terry Funk continued his attack as he picked Kevin up and dropped him across the steel barricade. Kerry had seen enough and attacked Terry. The ref was very lenient in his 10 count and eventually we get the action back in the ring. Dory now took over the dirty work as he broke every rule he could against the injured Kevin. As the ref tried to regain control, we see Terry take a pair of brass knuckles out of his trunks and clock Kevin. Kerry saw it and once again went after Terry. This just made it very simple for Dory as he covered Kevin for the victory.

END VTR

(Bill Mercer and Bruce Prichard are welcoming everyone to the show when The Funks- Terry, Dory Jr, and Jimmy Jack enter the ring and Terry takes a mic)

Terry: "Pardon me Billy Boy but I need the Von Erichs to come out to the ring right now please…"

(Kerry and Lance Von Erich come down and enter the ring)

Terry: "Kerry, after re-watching that tape they just aired I felt like I need to apologize to you guys, especially Kevin."

Kerry: "Well Terry, I'm afraid Kevin can't be here because you guys tried to kill him at the Crockett Cup."

Terry: "Now come on Kerry, don't be sore at us. You know how us Funks are….you dangle one million dollars in front of us AND the National Tag Team titles and we just got a little carried away."

Lance: "Carried away?? You call pushing Kevin off the top rope to the arena floor a little carried away? We still don't even know for sure just how badly injured his is and you say you got a LITTLE carried away??"

Terry: "I'm sorry kid, which one are you? I don't believe we've met before." (offers his hand for a handshake and Lance shoves it away, Jimmy Jack gets in his face but Terry and Dory pull him back)

Lance: "I'm Lance, I'm Waldo's son…and I'm 'the one' who is going to snatch that stupid Lone Ranger mask off his head if he gets in my face again."

Terry: "Now….now Lance…take it easy. We're here to mend fences with you guys. Maybe you're right…we did get more than a little carried away but we didn't win, Kerry and Kevin didn't win and there's no need for us to fight about it now….We've got unfinished business with Garvin, Embry, and Leatherface and that's what we intend to do…..So, basically we're here to say we're sorry and that we shouldn't have tossed Kevin down on the floor like that….I hope you'll except our apology."

Kerry: "Look, fighting about it now won't get us anywhere…..yes, we accept your apology."

(Kerry put his hand out and shook hands with Terry, Dory, and Jimmy Jack Funk, Lance then reluctantly did the same…Terry then hugged both guys and they all left the ring)

Bruce: "Well I do apologize for the poor response you've gotten from them. Of course their just upset that the "Russian Nightmare" Nikita Koloff is the most dominant wrestler in the world today who just destroyed 'the King' Jerry Lawler to win that UWF championship he has over his shoulder."

Ivan: "That is correct Comrade Prichard, my nephew Nikita is the greatest champion in the NWA today…..and this Saturday in Houston, Texas….Bad News Brown will find out why they call this man 'the Russian Nightmare'!"

WOW! So much going on. The Funks and Von Erich set up was great, I actually thought the apology was the end of it. What a swerve! Man, the Von Erich's took a beating in Houston. Mr. Olympia winning the Texas title was a nice surprise. Looks like Bad News and Dr. D have a lot to settle. That must of been a wild scene as even the cops got involved. LOL at Embry and Garvin leaving Leatherface behind. Pringle might be right about Big John Studd, I don't know who can stop him. Fun match between Southern Boys and Steiners. You're doing an awesome job with WCCW, it's not just exciting but it's explosive non stop action!

Man.. the Funks aligning with Gary Hart vs the Von Erichs is really something huge. This could be as hot as the Freebirds/Von Erichs and Dynamic Duo/Von Erichs rivalries.

Add in Bad News vs Dr. D, heel Steiners, invading Russians, and Studd running wild... Texas is on fire right now.

Mercer: "We certainly did and right here tonight on television, Nikita will once again put that UWF Championship on the line against Bad News Allen's arch enemy, Ronnie Garvin."

Prichard: "Well Ronnie Garvin is one of the toughest men in wrestling and the Russian Nightmare will have his hand full against the man with the hands of stone."

Mercer: "We saw at the top of the show that vicious unprovoked attack by the Funks on Lance and Kerry Von Erich.Bruce, you were sent out to the Double Cross Ranch in Amarillo, Texas to speak with the Funks to find out what is going on in the mind of Terry Funk and his brothers Dory Jr and Jimmy Jack."

Prichard: "We'll be taking a look at that later on in the show, but I'll tell you this Bill Mercer, anybody who thought that Jimmy Jack was the 'crazy one', is sadly mistaken..Terry is off his rocker now more than ever!"

Percy: "I said it because it's true Marc Lowrance!"

Studd: "That's exactly right, there's NOBODY in the world that hang with the 'Giant' John Studd."

Marc: "Well it seems there's someone who has taken exception to that claim and has signed one of your open contracts to challenge you tomorrow night in Amarillo, Texas for that North American Championship."

Percy: "And who might that be Marc?"

Marc: "Jerry 'the King' Lawler!" (Fans cheer)

Studd: "You tell the 'Queen' to hop the first plane out of Memphis and I'll send him right back home just like the loser he is."

Percy: "I'm sorry Marc, was that supposed to scare us? Are we supposed to tremble in fear because some clown who wears a stupid looking crown on his head is going to come in OUR backyard and challenge the Studd for HIS championship? Rematch: Winners get a shot at the North American Tag Titles in Amarillo on Saturday

(Bruce Prichard catches up to Eric Embry and Jimmy Garvin w/Precious)

Prichard: "Guys, we now know after their win over the Steiner Brothers that the Southern Boys will be your challengers this Saturday night in Amarillo."

Garvin: "Brucey, you know that Eric and myself are not concerned one bit about the Southern Boys.sure they're a good tag team, but WE are a GREAT tag team.but what we ARE concerned with is the fact LUTTE is trying to stick it to us. We issued an open challenge for the Johnny Rougeau Memorial Cup, We NEVER said anything about our titles being on the line! We never said that and now they have the match scheduled to have our titles on the line against those stupid Rougeau Brothers.they don't deserve a title match, they don't even deserve to be on the show!'

Prichard: "WellI meanit's the Johnny ROUGEAU Memorial Cup.I mean, wellyou know."

Embry: "Listen Bruce, when we get done with those two, next year it will be just be called the Rougeau Memorial Cup because now that I've made it a scaffold match they don't have a chance!"

Garvin: "Wait, what? A scaffold match?? You..made this a scaffold match!?!?"

Embry: "Absolutely! I'm a master at scaffolding!"

Garvin: "So, you've won a lot of scaffold matches?"

Embry: "Well no.I've never been in one, but I used to paint houses and I spent a lot of time climbing scaffolds so that's GOT to give us an advantage."

Garvin: "Every time I start to think that you're actually the smart one, you pull something like this."

Embry: "Jimmy, it's fool proof.trust me! Have I let you down yet? Every time you thought I was crazy, it's all worked out right?"

Garvin (thinking): "Yeah.I guess in the long run it has."

Embry: "Exactly, don't sweat it man..when it's all said and done, nobody will even remember who won the cup all they will talk about is how quick we climbed up that scaffold and won!"

Prichard: "You know how this works right?"

Embry: "I've never seen one but I assume it's the first team to climb up the scaffold wins, right?"

Garvin: "NO!! It's the first team THROWN OFF loses!"

Embry: "THROWN OFF?? S***, we could get killed!! Who in the hell would do a match like that???"

Garvin: "US APPARENTLY!"

Embry: "Oh my God Jimmy!! We have to get out of thisthere's no way we can pull that off."

(Garvin and Precious storms away while Embry looks terrified)

MATCH #5:

Mr. Wrestling 2 pinned Big Bubba Monroe after his patented running knee lift

(VTR: Bruce Prichard is seen walking towards a bonfire in a pasture at the Funk's Double Cross Ranch in Amarillo, Texasthe Funks can be seen sitting around the fire, the camera zooms in on Terry Funk who takes a big swig of beer and throws the can in the fire)

Terry: "Bruce Prichard, thank God they sent you and not that stooge Marc Lowrance out here."

Bruce: "Thanks for having me Terry, let's get down to business everyone wants to know why did the Funks attack the Von Erichs last week in Houston?"

Terry: "Well Prichard, I'm going to answer your question with a question.why not? I mean honestly why wouldn't the Funks attack the Von Erichs? I think the real question is why did the Funks wait this long to attack the Von Erichs?"

Bruce: "Ok, so let's tackle thatwhy did you guys wait so long to attack the Von Erichs?"

Terry: "Listen Prichard, we triedwe tried our damndest to co-exist with those boys.we really did. They aren't bad kids, they're great athletes..they're decent men..but they have million dollar bodies and ten cent brains.they don't get what this is all about. It's fine to be goody two shoes and do the right thing and all that sorta crap.it isand it works for some people. But you listen to me and you listen good Prichard, when you put ONE MILLION DOLLARS and some belts that mean extra money on top of that on the line and you don't expect the Funks are going to do WHATEVER it takes to win.including pushing your stupid a** brother off the top rope to the floor.then you are too stupid to share the same air as the Funk familythe fact that those two muscle headed geeks had the nerve to come out to that ring and DEMAND an explanation from my brother and myself....we don't owe you or anyone else an explanation for anything we do..the fact either of you walked away from a match with us should be considered a blessing.but no, you want to come and act like a couple of tough guys.and then cry because we hurt your big brother Kevin, I can't respect that Prichard."

Bruce: "Obviously the Von Erichs want revenge and they've demanded a match this week with." (Funk cuts him off)

Terry: "Hold it right there Prichard, the Von Erichs don't demand a G**DAMN thing from the Funks. So the Von Erichs once again think because their daddy runs the territory they get whatever they want.when they want it..well that's not how this works!! I'm a busy man, Prichard. This isn't all I do.I'm not just a wrestler, I do other things with my life. I'm a rancher, a husband, a father, and not to mention an actor and a Hollywood stuntman. I'm flying out to Los Angeles tomorrow to do some work on a movie so I guess the Von Erichs will just have to waitthey'll face me when I'm damn good and ready..we'll show up to fight them on OUR terms.when and where we are ready.and if the Von Erichs don't like that.tough s***!! The Funks are in demand, we can go wrestle anywhere on earth.we don't need World Class, they need us..so you'll see us when we're ready but when you do see us.I promise you that Kevin won't be the only one in the hospital!"

The top four matches on that Amarillo card look great, and the res of the card ain't exactly chopped liver. I'm particularly looking forward to the Loser Leaves Texas match.

"...million dollar bodies and ten cent brains" is classic Funk-style line.

Embry misunderstanding the core concept of the scaffold match is comedy gold.
