El-P Posted April 13, 2018 Report Share Posted April 13, 2018 WHAT THE FUCK DID I JUST WATCH ? It's 2018 and a 50 years old Quebecer Pierre/jean Pierre Lafitte just had a top 5 match of the week-end. There's too much sheer insanity in this to go into details, but it was not all about that either, as it told a really cool story with WALTER the young monster treating PCO with a patronizing arrogance, only for the old Quebec fuck to make a TerryFunkesque comeback, execute some ridiculous butt-ugly yet super impressive spots, while doing a Kobashi tribute (both in choping WALTER down to size and sporting a... purple/black chest). Where has Pierre Carl Oulette been all these years ? This has to be one of the all-time post-50 years old performance ever. Great match. Edwin Posted April 14, 2018 Report Share Posted April 14, 2018 Yeah, this was pretty great, although I've dug other WALTER matches this year more than this one (vs. Thatcher, vs. Mark Davis). PCO made his return to the U.S. indy scene a couple of months ago against Ethan Page at Black Label Pro in Indiana and he looked OK there. Here, however, he looked amazing for a guy his age. Sure the execution of his stuff isn't as smooth, but he more than made up for that with the bumps and beating he absorbed from WALTER. WALTER was great as the cocky young bully laying out a beating by turning PCO's chest into hamburger meat. Brutal stuff. I'd be more than happy to see PCO coming back regularly to the U.S. indy scene to bully around Jr.'s or to go toe-to-toe with big men. I was going to wait until it was all just available on the WWN network and subscribe, but I might after to buy the show outright. Not sure I can wait. I think it was a legit great match. Like you said, just the fucking beating PCO took and the blatant disregard he showed for his own health. PCO sure showed how to build a comeback, and my God, he is giving his all to the fans while doing that. Tanking WALTER's chops while dishing out his own is one of the craziest feats in current pro wrestling. Dude's chest was looking like a crime scene afterwards.
