What do you consider to be your promotion

12 May 2018 - 08:35 AM

This is kind of similar to the Dr. Who question of who is your Doctor.

When you think of your favorite promotion what is it. What promotion is like going back and visiting old friends when you watch it.

I'll start off with WCW. When I became a fan of wrestling in 1997 it was with WCW. I've watched WWE for a long time but it's never been my promotion, it's always just been what's on TV and available to me. WCW is home. Watching some old stuff is like checking in with my buddies Sting, Flair, etc. WWE has never had that same familiar vibe to me.

So what would be your promotion?

Recommend Me Joshi

08 May 2018 - 02:39 PM

I've really enjoyed Stardom the last couple of years. Great promotion and I really dig the style. I've also branched out and checked out some of the other promotions and have also enjoyed them.

Historical joshi is something I'm pretty blind too. I've watched some matches here and there but I would really like to dig in more. So where's a good place to start? I'm assuming AJW? What are the best matches? Should I cherry pick the top end matches or watch things in context?

Wrestling Resolutions 2018

29 December 2017 - 05:30 PM

I was just wondering if anyone had any New Year's Resolutions for 2018. I have a couple this year.

Actively follow and watch PWG with the DVD releases.

Watch at least an hour of wrestling a week. This will probably be watching CWF Mid-Atlantic on YouTube.

CWF Mid-Atlantic

27 September 2017 - 07:52 AM

I'm using the Filsinger card game for this booking. Because of this, I have no control over who wins so keep that in mind as this promotion advances. I'm also going to try and be realistic to who I think would potentially work in CWF Mid-Atlantic. I'm not running this in real time or anything so you might see a flurry of shows over a short period of time and some droughts where I'm not posting anything.

The format I'm probably going to do for the first few months is weekly TV with a monthly bigger event. The monthly events might get reduced down depending on how I feel.
