  1. By HHH and Steph. Who watched those and said " I can't get behind Bryan because the two people everyone hates are insulting him." They were doing "evil Internet perception of us " Remember, the audience in the crowd are drones who lack basic comprehension and take everything at face value. Only smart Internet fans like Loss know what's really up! Come on, Loss. You are exactly the kind of mark they hope for. The kind that jumps on the computer after the promo is done to express how bad a job they're doing and how bad they're burying him.
  2. Oh God, I hope it's not a work. That's some Vince Russo shit there. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2cZtuwjdPJU "CM Punk refused to follow the script and walked out! Now Paul "Triple H" Levesque takes matters into his own hands and takes on Phil "CM Punk" Brooks in a unscripted, no-holds-barred MMA match at Elimination Chamber!"
  3. Are you really using Randy as an example of a good push? Even Dave said he's not being pushed all that well. He beat midcarders clean like Kofi and Dolph. Even Miz was able to do that.

So they broke up the Prime Time Players. Along with the Rhodes breaking up soon alongside the Real Americans and the Shield. I also don't think the NAO are staying around after Wrestlemania. What happened? I thought this was supposed to be the year of the tag team or something?
  5. He won at Survivor Series. Sept: He won via "fast count." Oct: No contest/screwjob Nov: Won the tag match against the Wyatts Dec: Lost a three on one handicap match Jan: Lost to Wyatt. Again, ignoring the fact he's won stuff multiple gauntlet matches and those PPV loses are pretty much the only pinfall losses he's had since Summerslam.
  6. Dave has said that they're holding Extreme Rules in Seattle "for a reason," Bryan's going to get pushed and that Batista is expected to turn heel later this year. Golly fucking gee. Wonder what's going to happen. Also, the people he's talking about in the quoted post are pretty much the same people posting in this topic. Regardless if you believe it or not, he's been pretty well protected and pushed and he's not moving the numbers like people think he is. People were chanting for Matt Hardy like crazy during the Edge/Lita scandal and he pretty much bombed when he came back. They chanted for Ryder almost to the level that Bryan has gotten. He was given a decent mid card push and an angle with the top guy. He failed. Daniel won't, but the point is chanting doesn't mean much if it doesn't translate into numbers. Also, the merchandise talking point amuses me to no end. The number one seller of merchandise in the company is Cena. You know...this guy:
  7. I've seen this said a couple of times now, but was it really a "panic move"? Austin was supposed to be in the Survivor Series '99 main event until the neck injury (even advertised the day of the show) and Show was a last-minute replacement. Many seemed to think Austin was walking out of the show with the belt, they may have shifted gears and decided to try Show instead but HHH seemed to be fated to lose that night. It's just nonsense. It's a panic move if you ignore that Triple H went into a feud with Vince right after and main evented the PPV after Survivor Series while Big Show had a three minute match with Big Bossman in the midcard. Show also dropped the title about a month later back to Triple H. It was a panic move, and covered as such at a time, when folks like Dave had vastly more high placed WWF sources (such as Ross) completely dialed into why they did things. I don't give two shits about what Dave says. Ratings for RAW in 1999 were stable through the year, Triple H continued to be at the top of the card while Big Show was in the mid card feuding with the Bossman, he main evented the December PPV and was embroiled in a feud with the company owner before and after SS, the marriage to Stephanie was two weeks after he dropped the title. And why would a heel be expected to move merchandise? Think it through for once instead of parroting what those around you say.
  8. Mysterio isn't someone who's been in the main events constantly or even pushed that consistently. Didn't he lose in his return match from his last injury?
  9. 13 years ago and a fairly tame thread that was mostly based around language barriers in the city after growing up like Hillbilly Jim. I'm a full bleeding heart progressive now. Rainbows and Mini-Flags for everyone! Did the black people who lived around you speak something besides English? Also, is that board normally that stupid/repulsive? I skimmed through it and it remained terrible for the entire 5 year duration.
  10. Yeah, not sure why Mysterio is getting shit on by the crowd suddenly. He's never been pushed down people's throats aside from maybe during the Eddie angle and even then he was probably the least protected babyface champion ever. Has good to great matches every time despite having no knees and does whatever the company asks of him.

  12. Did you listen to the shoot? One of the main problems Jim had was that he was trying to appeal to a wider audience and corporate suits while the wrestlers and wrestling company staff acted like...wrestlers and wrestling company staff. Honestly, Cornette came off pretty well in it. He had no real problems with the talent save for one or two people and enjoyed booking. It was mostly the non-wrestling behind the scenes stuff that did him in. Broken and outdated recording equipment, booking shows in markets that wouldn't draw, lackluster support in regards to talent's health when Corino nearly broke his back, etc.
  13. Who gives a shit about what Mick's son has to say? Are you the same guy who tackled a door at CHIKARA's last show? People bitch and moan and bitch and moan and bitch and moan. Fucking stop watching it if you really care so much. This isn't a case of "don't like it, don't watch it" either. They live and die by ratings and merchandise. Both of those go down, they start panicking and start experimenting and possibly push Bryan. So sick of fans complaining about the direction and continuing to watch it. Stop watching RAW, buy more Bryan t-shirts and fake beards. That's what got Punk over his hump. The reason he's so protected now is because he pushes t-shirts. Of course, wrestling fans are creatures of routine and can't even resist not sitting down Monday night or Tuesday morning for the DVR users for more than a week. Vote with your dollars, people. Or maybe they're right and if every single whiner stopped watching, it wouldn't affect the bottom line.
  14. I wouldn't say awful, but it looks pointless. TBH, I thought it was going to end up being Dolph's goofy .
