  1. His character was always intriguing to me, I definitely need to check out some of these matches
  2. The nWo gave him a beatdown too when he tried to join. I think that was when he was the Bootyman though. That was awesome
  3. Didnt someone actually yell "kill yourself" during that promo on Raw?
  4. I didnt mind him so much in the barber gimmick, but yeah after he came back in late 92 early 93, the Hogan-Beefcake lovefest was sickening. Every interview was " The Hulkster was the only one there for me, my friend til the end, hearts beating together" Just corny, goofy stuff that got super stale. He was never a good worker, although he did get himself over, although probably more so for the gimmick and over push that he got during that time. I still stand by the idea that Brutus is the biggest hanger on in the business. He built his entire career around being Hogans friend and Hogan being loyal to him
  5. Ive been loving the show so far. A topic that might be fun to discuss is Jake Roberts in 1991, after the death of Damian and his heel turn on the Warrior and stuff with Savage and Undertaker. Keep up the fun stuff!
  6. I really enjoyed the show, it flew by. Going through the kinf og the ring's that were unaired was a fun idea and cant wait to see what comes next
  7. Absolutely loved the crowd here, and Sid doing the fist bumps. This was definitely his career high I think it terms of putting it all together
  8. Wow, i guess im in the minority, but i thought this was a pretty god matc, maybe one of Sid's best matches. I feel like Sid came back motivated for this late 96 run and was actually decent. MSG turned on Shawn because he turned into that white meat baby face that was really not cool at the time. Plus he had Jose Lothario with him who he had no chemistry with, it just held him back and made him even more unbearable to me. Overall though I think this is one of Sid's best performances and Michaels takes a great shit kicking
  9. I liked what they did with The Briscoes and Age of the Fall in ROH, it just wasnt that long of a run
  10. The 1994 King of the Ring match with the 123 Kid was one of the best sub 4 minute matches ive ever seen. With the sick baseball slide into Kid in the beginning to the blistering pace they kept, what a great match
  11. I was trying to find something quick and fun to watch and then this popped up. I never followed Hogan closely until his run around 87, so it was really cool to see Hogan working this match like a sprint as Chad says. The headbutts and overall tempo isn't something Im used to with seeing Hogan, so it was quite refreshing. With that said, Soup is right when he says Hogan really steam rolled through Bundy in this match, as Bundy hardly got any offense in and was beaten in about ten minutes. Jesse was great on commentary and they did try to cover with him kicking out right at 3, but the damage was done. After this defeat they had to build Bundy back up again for the main event, so a less decisive victory for Hogan probably would have been better than what we got. Nonetheless it was really fun to see Hogan working so fast and makes me want to watch more pre Wrestlemania 3 stuff by him
  12. Fun little tag match here. People were really starting to turn against Hogan big time during this time. Some weeks it wasn't so bad, and others it was really loud. While the crowd wasnt crazy for him at the start, you could hear them groan after Hogan no sells the spine buster. The act was old and outdated, and the fans were letting him know. I thought Flair was awesome, he kept messing with Hogan on the apron and then taking off, i loved it
  13. As a hardcore WWF fan, but open to seeing good wrestling, I finally watched this match after listening to Chad and Parvs and Steve and Tims top 100 matches list podcast. I've seen some New Japan and know all of the big players from the 80's and 90's from All Japan, but just never watched any matches. After listening to numerous PWO-PTBN podcast's, I just had no idea where to start on All Japan and it just felt very overwhelming. I went into this match without any context of previous matches or any knowledge of the feuds. I watched this strictly as a wrestling match, and boy was I not disappointed. This match was just awesome. I loved the leg kicks to Kobashi's leg, Misawa constantly fighting back, Kawada kicking dudes off the apron and Taue's awesome chokeslam of Misawa on Kobashi's injured knee. This was definitely one of the best matches I've ever seen, and I dont know where Im going to go next, but the bar has been set extremely high
  14. I was actually looking forward to this whole card, and I really wanted to see Brock vs Reigns just for the match, the build wasn't great and the thought of Reigns winning didn't sound good, but for the match itself, I think it really out did what the expectations were for it, and now I definitely want to see it for a second time
  15. I was worried about the ending, but at least the WWE got a reaction that didn't totally kill the end of the show, which I think would have happened if Reigns had won. I would've prefered Brock winning, but this opens up a bunch of possibilties for the title picture now
