APW ran the Cow Palace a couple weeks back with Rhodes vs Ryan on top. I would have to assume he's drawing on the indies if APW who usually draws a couple dozen to a garage or middle school gym is able to run the Cow Palace with him.

Tanahashi got hurt at the ROH TV tapings, so his participation at Dominion and G1 is in doubt right now.

Shit.... match vs Naito or scrapped or Naito retains or he drops to somebody else?

In Topic: Has any other top star had such a lackluster career like Orton?

Personally I don't know if any of this has anything to do with Orton at all. He has been boring in recent years. But I think that has to do with the WWE being less edgy, less out there, so his chacter who was basically a criminal out of a Johnny Cash or Springsteen song had all of the personality taken away. He hasn't been involved in any angles recently that were as exciting as the angles he did back 10 years ago. He hasn't booted any old people in the head, he hasn't sexually assaulted anybody, he hasn't done anything that a dangerous, violent, crazy person would do. They even changed the lyrics of his theme music about 5 years ago, so that the lyrics are less violent. They took away everything that was interesting about him and that drew heat- the violent explosive temper, the arrogance, the complete lack of regard for consequences, the borderline criminality of his actions, etc. He was interesting because he was different, now he's not interesting because he's the same. I don't know if the matches haven't been as good or we just care less.

I think from about 2002 to 2010 ish he was great. Everything except for the Rated RKO stuff was gravy IMO. Then he wasn't doing anything for awhile. Then in 2013 he had that great run against Daniel Bryan which was fun, although it made no sense why he had beef with Daniel Bryan or why he would ever want anything to do with HHH, but it was fun. Then some 6 mans vs the Sheild. Since then not so much.

question- how many Santo matches are actually out there? I don't think I've seen a whole match, just clips and movies and while he looked really, really good, he didn't seem to have the athleticism or grace of his son.

I think what they are building towards is he is now after 6 years unable to finish any top guys with the Rainmaker. At the Dome it took like 6 Rainmakers to put down Omega, however Omega never hit the One Wing Angel which he kept going for. And sometime this summer Omega wins the title with the One Wing Angel in a match where Omega kicks out of at least 4 or 5 Rainmakers.  So then after having the Rainmaker as a finisher for 5 years and a half years, Okada comes up with some sort of ridiculously dangerous super finisher with which he wins the title back at the Dome.

I'm going to add to my prediction as so far its looking like this is coming true. Okada will debut said crazy fucking finisher in a random tag before the G1. I'm predicting it will be equally as batshit crazy as Kobashi's Diamond Head. He will win the G1 with said finisher beating Naito. In October Omega's title defense will be against Tiger Mask W or just Ibushi as Ibushi. Naito will go undefeated from the G1 finals to the Dome show. So Naito has to drop the Intercontinental title before the G1, probably to Tanahashi, to allow him to go undefeated the rest of the year. Then Naito will beat Tiger Mask W at the Dome. Sometime in 2018 Naito wins the title. Dome in 2019 is Okada vs Naito, the culmination of Naito's 2 year long main event push.  There is something I like about how logical the booking in New Japan is, that there is rarely a curve ball.
