  2. It is cool that the guys with the "we don't do cool moves" gimmick also don't throw good punches or sell well or have matches with interesting layouts. You'd think they would have excelled in the WWE TV format, having fun 5-minute matches, but alas. Also, the matches vs. the Lucha Bros really showed their WWE Performance Center Training, specifically when they cannot catch a dive. I guess "no flips" is also a warning to their opponents.

    Edge

That Summerslam match vs Rollins was one of the worst matches I saw in 2021. Aimless and plodding. Just two guys taking turns doing stuff for no real reason and nothing flowed and then like 20 minutes in to it they decided to do a rest hold, right? Edge has always had terrible looking offense which is only hidden when he works a garbage match. Extremely low-impact stuff that relies on his opponent jumping in to the move for him.
  4. The case FOR Mickie James, as presented in this thread, is that she has had 3 matches worth watching and thousands of forgettable TV matches over 20 years. The argument presented for her inclusion is the strongest argument against her inclusion.
  5. The point is that trying to reach a critical consensus of the 100 greatest wrestlers EVER is a pretty big endeavor and will take forever if people have to explain why Mickie James - who by your own nomination has 3 great matches in a 20-year career - is not somebody worth considering for this type of project. She has been on TV for 20 years having perfectly fine but far from great 5-minute or so matches, just like hundreds if not thousands of other people that are not worth considering here.
  6. Adam Page wrestles like a guy that seriously hurt somebody at one point and is afraid of doing so again.
  7. LA Park was La Parka in AAA in the 1990s and WCW. He wasn't in AAA much towards the end, so AAA made a La Parka Jr. He left AAA officially in the early 200s, like 2002 or 2003, and La Parka Jr. started to be billed as just "La Parka." That's when the original started using LA Park. although he would still be billed as La Parka on some indies (like his appearances in the original MLW). The original returned to AAA in 2010 and feuded with the new La Parka over the name, and actually won the match where the name was at stake but then said he didn't need the name and stayed as LA Park. He's been in and out of AAA a few times since then. If somebody is recommending the match to you, it's LA Park.
  8. I have a few of those shows. I am currently copying all my DVDs so I'll post his matches somewhere soon. The tragic part is that VHS was still being used at that time, so I only have a few DVDs.
  9. I attached a file to that previous post. It's a spreadsheet of standout Hechicero matches from the past few years. Lots of other stuff listed on cubsfan's site: http://www.luchadb.com/wcards/hechicero(cmll).php Hechicero doesn't have the stand-out apuestas matches, but that's CMLL's fault and nothing he can control. He's often the most interesting guy in otherwise dull trios. He is going on 15 years or so of absolutely shining when given the chance, though. Could probably make top 25 in my ballot. I will come back with some links/suggestions to older matches later.
  10. LA Park has absolutely bolstered his case as an all time great in the past 5 years. Describing the Rush matches and Blue Demon match as just "brawls" doesn't do justice to the completely unhinged, out-of-control nature of these matches. Very little like them in wrestling. Describing LA Park as just a brawler really sells him short, though. His 2004-2005 CMLL run has a lot of workrate style matches, with the Ultimo Guerrero singles match and the El Dandy singles ENESMA both being MOTYC (the Dandy match was MOTY in Mexico), and even more recent stuff like the (great) Jacob Fatu match is more of a workrate style. He was Wrestler of the Year in the 2004 Tapatia awards, and was getting votes for that and MOTY each year pretty steadily after that. That's nearly 20 years of high-end singles performances, and others have already pointed out his consistent work in AAA trios in the 90s. Not many have a resume like that.
