  1. The podcast streak continues as we hit nine weeks straight of new weekly podcasts for the locked down Thunder Buddies. This week we return to our 1998 timeline where Thunder has been off air for two weeks so we have no idea what's going on (unusual for us, right?). On the plate this week: *Lee continues his MCU first time viewings, Dave has been under a washing machine *Eric Bischoff goes mad with power...again. *The haunting consequences of the ten-punch spot *A battle to translate Hogan and Rick Steiner promos. We’ll be back in one week with Lee's second Retro PPV choice, the infamous Bash at the Beach 1996, and in the meantime encourage people to watch the shows along with us and send us any thoughts or memories. You can drop us an email at either [email protected] or [email protected]. Please feel free to follow us on Twitter twitter.com/wcwthunderpod and continue the Thunder chat Our newly launched blog 'Beyond The Thunder Road' is at http://wcwthunderpod.wordpress.com where you can expect new content soon, and we are now on Instagram at http://instagram.com/wcwthunderpod You can also follow Dave twitter.com/thedaytodave or Lee twitter.com/malone_713
  2. Yes folks, it's that time again as we take a detour off Thunder Road to bring on a guest to take a closer look at a member of our roster on Pick Your Poison! On this episode we are joined by the one and only Jamesie ( http://twitter.com/jamesie_2015 ) from POST Wrestling's excellent British Wrestling Experience to sit around the virtual table and talk about some prime cuts from the career of Ric Flair! Join three salty vets as they discuss these fantastic matches: *11 April 1987- Crocket Cup 1987, Ric Flair vs. Barry Windham (Dave) *7 May 1989- Wrestle War 89, Ric Flair vs. Ricky 'The Dragon' Steamboat (Jamesie) * 15 November 1989- Clash of the Champions IX, Ric Flair vs. Terry Funk I QUIT (Lee) *24 February 1991- Wrestle War 91, The Four Horsemen (Flair, Windham, Vicious) & Larry Zbyszko vs. Brian Pillman, The Steiner Brothers & Sting WAR GAMES (Dave) *19 January 1992- The 1992 Royal Rumble (Jamesie) *16 June 1993- Clash of the Champions XXIII, Ric Flair & Arn Anderson vs. The Hollywood Blonds (Lee) Make sure to look for POST Wrestling and the British Wrestling Experience with Jamesie along with Martin and Benno on your podcast provider of preference, you will not be disappointed! We'll be back in one week for Thunder Episode 25, and encourage people to watch the shows along with us and send us any thoughts or memories. You can drop us an email at either [email protected] or [email protected]. Please feel free to follow us on Twitter twitter.com/wcwthunderpod and continue the Thunder chat You can also follow Dave twitter.com/thedaytodave or Lee twitter.com/malone_713
  3. https://soundcloud.com/wcwthunderpod/days-of-thunder-23-stevie-ray-liger Ladies and gentlemen, Days of Thunder returns to you to cover BY FAR the worst episode of Thunder yet seen by your fearless hosts. We put out the call to our Thunder Buddies to provide us with Q's to A to lift our spirits. Listen in this week to hear all of the following and more: *What Serie A footballers would make good title challengers against the Thunder roster? *Our desert island dvds *Does Tony know what a sidewalk slam is? *Does WCW know what wrestling is? We also (briefly) refer to the elephant in the room but promise you that going forward, Days of Thunder will be your safe space to come and have a laugh at two Irish lads losing their minds watching the wrestling. We love you, we are with you, and we hope you are all safe. If we can survive Thunder, we can survive anything 3 As always, we’ll be back in two weeks for our next episode, and encourage people to watch the shows along with us and send us any thoughts or memories. 5. Ladies and gentleman, they said it couldn't be done. Here we are celebrating one year on the air as Days of Thunder! So we took the occasion to sit back and take stock of the highlights and lowlights of Thunder and the podcast so far as Dave and Lee have a Birthday beverage or two. In addition, we run down our first annual Thundie Awards, celebrating all things Thunder. We run down the categories on the show, but we need YOU to help us out determining winners in each category. What do you have to do? 1. Listen to the show. 2. Give us a follow at http://twitter.com/daysofthunder 3. Every day between this podcast and our recording of episode 21 we'll post a poll for each category for the Thunder Buddies to choose the winner. The Year in Thunder has been made up of 20 regular episodes, 5 PPVs and 2 Pick Your Poison Specials, and we couldn't do it without your support so thank you all from the bottom of our hearts, and onward to 2020! We'll be back in two weeks with a brand new episode of Thunder, getting back into the regular shows! You can drop us an email at either [email protected] or [email protected]. Please feel free to follow us on Twitter twitter.com/wcwthunderpod You can also follow Dave twitter.com/thedaytodave or Lee twitter.com/malone_713 Special thanks to Keith Broni for the podcast art
