There are quite a few spots that aren't quite connecting in the opening minutes, and you can see that both of them are a little frustrated. I think they wanted to have a good match, but they didn't at all. The Neidhart turn got over though.
Ray Rougeau loves to speak to Bret at inappropriate moments!

You've watched three full matches from this pay-per-view, and you haven't mentioned Art Donovan once. Give us something.

Pettingill completely ignores Donavan is out there at this point. This moment is great with Owen following up his brother Bret by winning the King of the Ring. Too bad they weren’t able to deliver a high quality match in the finals. Anvil shows up and takes out Razor. Hart Attack! So Neidhart’s real purpose was to keep the title on Bret as he is firmly in Owen's corner now.

The match wasn't very good but The Anvil has now joined up with Owen which pisses the crowd off. The angle was well down throughout the night I think but this match should have been better.

Hearing Art again made me seek out youtube and thankfully there is a twelve minute video of his greatness on this PPV. God only knows how frustrated Randy and Gorilla were at the end of the night. The story of the Anvil turn was actually really clever but the match here didn't deliver and was disappointing given it was one of Owen's showcase moments.
