It took Bischoff a little while to become a strong TV performer, but he's pretty decent at first.

He says everyone in WCW has 30 days to convert their contracts to NWO contracts.

The American Males come down to the ring. Bagwell takes Bischoff's offer and they beat up Scotty Riggs. Say it ain't so!

And there goes the floodgate. At this point the angle turned into a clusterfuck with all B players getting involved, and the original idea was bastardized. Bagwell turning was probably the only one who really got something out of joigning the nWo, it succeeded in turning him into a solid undercard heel.

Bischoff overdoes a few of his pet gestures like the fake smile and the "we're not worthy" thing, but he's doing an effective job of ramping up all the qualities that made him so unlikable as a babyface. After a few weeks of build, Bagwell completes his heel turn by punking out Scotty Riggs and taking Bischoff up on his offer/threat.

I thought Bischoff already was more natural being the stooge here than Mr. Executive WCW for the good of the company. He spells out his decision to turn and says the guys have 30 days to convert their contracts. Marcus Bagwell takes him up on it. NWO is getting bloated now even though this was a nice moment for Bagwell. I would say he was the last member where it went from being worrisome that NWO had too many guys to they really had too many guys in the faction.

Bischoff is terribly obnoxious, but I suppose in a good way for a smarmy heel manager role. Welp, Bagwell in the NWO is a major dilution. The NWO gimmick works better as a rogue faction rather than an actually organization trying to compete with WCW as an organization.
