Flair looks like a (well built) teenage girl with the slicked back blonde hair and tucked in Johnny B. Badd t-shirt. And Flair is wearing jeans?? With white socks and black loafers?? Oh wait, they're doing a 50s theme, as Arn is wearing a bomber jacket with a popped collar. I'm glad Flair is getting back in the ring. I like the idea of giving Flair a Tonight Show type segment with Arn as his Johnny Carson. It's actually a GREAT idea on paper, but fails in execution. Flair and Badd together in a scene are too much. Everyone dances like they're in a sock hop to wrap things up. Only in WCW.

How in the name of FUCK did this air on the same program as that last spine-tingling promo?? Arn goes from dead-serious all business to playing dress-up. Flair FINALLY gets around to asking a question relevant to the fucking ongoing angles, as Badd gets around to talking up the feud with Maxx Payne. Maxx has stolen a Badd Blaster--the original Badd Blaster, given to him by Mommy B. Badd. This is a terrible segment setting up a pretty terrible premise for a feud, though Mero sells this as best as he can. We get a '50s-style sock hop that the crowd is INTENSELY unimpressed with. I could go the rest of my life without seeing Arn Anderson do the twist again.

I continue to mark for the Clash angle with Payne blasting Badd in the face, though.

Mero's promo explaining his attachment to his..........whatever a Badd Blaster is may have been the best part of any AFFTG segment so far. If Flair could have kept it at that level, this might have been a good overall segment. But of course, we can't have wrestling getting in the way of our party, now can we? The dancing itself wasn't too bad considering who was doing it, but there's just been too much useless fluff in this show for me to be charitable.

Fifi looked legit shocked that Mero kissed her. Knowing Flair, he probably told her about the fake lips and never bothered to mention that Mero might want to kiss her for real.

Arn didn't look bad in a leather jacket, but Flair in a T-shirt? Unh-uh. A golf shirt should be as casual as he gets.

Whoever actually mentioned Little Richard in Mero's theme song ought to be fired. It's bad enough that Mero's doing an awful imitation of him; the last thing he needs is for the audience to be reminded of it and told that it's actually a good thing.

To watch this segment, you'd never know that Flair and Arn were going for the World tag team championship in just eleven days. I know they did a promo earlier, but they should be selling that match every time they get near a microphone between now and the sixteenth.
