HOLY FUCKING SHIT.

I am only so far into it yet but there is a MOMENT in this, and you'll all know exactly what I'm talking about when you get to it, and this moment, I mean God love you Parv, but for anyone who has ever argued with you or your system during this thing, that was just about the greatest payoff spot in pro wrestling history.

Five fucking stars.

I was already excited but this tease has put me over the edge. On the last show Parv's line (to paraphrase) "Biglav . . . it's a load of shit really" had me cracking up.

About 90 minutes into this and I do not want it to end. Very curious to see how the lists shake out. Definitely some food for thought here as while I haven't sat down and put pen to paper for my own ballot, I've certainly been thinking about just what I prioritize. Will shake out some more thoughts on it in that part of the board but just wanted to add I found this very engaging.

While I'm still more a fan of ranking and discussing matches rather than individual wrestlers, this and part 1 will sit right next to the top 100 match countdown as the type of pod I can easily go back and listen to once a year. Just broad goodness all around.

Still not done with the show but I reached this part. This was me at my desk at work when I reached that part:

Excellent show so far.

Trying to fit this 4 hour epic in before work this afternoon.

Really enjoyed the first part.

Parv and Chad, on Daily Motion, look for a guy named Buddy Watson and an AWA show called StarCage 85. I had never heard of this show, but looking at the line up, I think it needs the Big Boys treatment. He also has AWA Super Sunday.

Absolutely tremendous stuff fellas. Thank you so much for the thoughts and commitment to bringing the analysis. I wont go into semantics to avoid spoilers but i enjoyed both lists very much. A smattering between the two will make up a lot of my list although there are several guys on neither list will make mine. Keep up the good work.

I waited until Part II was posted before listening to both podcasts. These were excellent shows gentlemen, filled with good insight and some surprising picks and omissions from both of you.

Your talk about someone being a greatest hits wrestler vs being an all-time great one has me rethinking my ballot at the eleventh hour.

Thanks for all the comments.

Since recording this, I've been doing some thinking and feel, overwhelmingly, that I cannot in good conscience have Misawa and Kobashi where they are on my list. As the show progressed and as Chad spoke with love and passion about those guys, I just had this increasing feeling of guilt and sense that something was wrong. I don't know if it came across on the show, but it became abundantly clear to me that -- just in their case -- I need to overrule BIGLAV and bump them up. Felt like not only a betrayal of Chad but also of just wrestling itself.

So in the interests of full disclosure I'm going to make an edit to my final submitted ballot because there's no way I can leave it with those guys not in the top 5. BIGLAV was helpful for deciding if someone should be 37 as opposed to 83 but I really think that there are special cases up in the top ten that are beyond the system. Can't look in the mirror and say I believe that those two guys aren't in the top five greatest wrestlers ever.

Not gonna lie, I have felt thick as pigshit all day for not quite cottoning on to which part everyone was referencing here, it was very late when I listened last night though and I was also at the gym trying to pretend I was enjoying myself when I actually felt like I was about to die for most of it, so I think I get which part you mean now.

Going to relisten now but the bits I managed to successfully take in were tremendous, awesome job lads!

You have no idea how nervous I am reading those names because I know they will be butchered. Yoshihisa Yamamoto is a particular tongue twister.

Thanks everyone for the words so far. I did like the sense of accomplishment that I felt at finishing our list reading to each other and it helped cap off my personal journey of going through the GWE process.
