  1. Has Monty Brown been mentioned yet? In TNA, he had a shit load of charisma and I always thought he'd be great in the WWE. He had size but once he got to the WWE, he looked boring and uninteresting and wasn't booked strong either.
  2. I always liked Rude as a top heel and it's a shame he didn't get to do it long enough. He could've tried riding out the Hogan wave. Sure, he would've had to job to Hogan but he probably would have been working mains for a while and still making decent money. Of course, sitting around and collecting money is better than busting your ass and collecting it. He would've fit into ECW as a wrestler but it didn't pay well. 94-95 WWF probably wouldn't have been good but maybe 96 and for sure, 97. I always saw him in the 90's as a pissed off, mean spirited jerk with an edge who could kick someone's ass. He never seemed like a cartoon character once he got to WCW.
  3. I'm trying to figure out why it even matters if SS did well or not. The WWE desperately needs new faces on top and he's over. As far as I'm concerned, that's good enough. Who was the last new guy to actually move PPV numbers? Punk barely did it in 2011 on one PPV and then went on to bomb at SS. Oh look, he's fine now and the number 3 guy in the company. Ryback moved like one show when he was an upstart face and that's it. No one is going to sustain buyrate increases for a considerable amount of time these days. Like I said before, Bryan shouldn't be crucified for SS numbers being low. Who else have they got that can do better right now, who also isn't established?
  4. I know the feeling. I've got so many sets to watch eventually, I don't know where to begin. Saturday Night 94, 95, 2000. The AWA set fished around here and DVDVR, KC Timelines, Nitro 95, War Games BD, Primetime 88 and probably a million others. I tend to go on and off with my viewing. I went a couple months barely watching or caring about anything and just recently, I've gotten back into watching some. I suspect it'll continue like this until the end of time.
  5. This is a really dumb article. I have a scathing hatred for the Bleacher Report, when it pertains to their wrestling coverage, at least. How one can even begin to question whether a guy like Dusty Rhodes would make it is unbelievable. Well, he's only one of the most charismatic wrestlers in history. Jake Roberts is only one of the best heels in history. Vader would have worked in a heartbeat in a place like TNA. Those are just a few of the ones I saw and chose to go through but I'm not going through that whole list. I hate the fucking Bleacher Report.
  6. I came in to post that. It stinks to read it vertically when those picture problems come up, so I just flip it horizontally and it's a little better. I'm not too far into the book (catching up on some WONs I bought and Muchnick's Benoit book too) but I like what I've read so far. I would recommend it highly.
  7. I'd love to see another weight class become as big as the heavyweight division. Imagine if the only fucking division in the UFC that mattered was the heavyweight division. Every other division was pushed as completely meaningless and inferior no matter how good the guys were. Fighters like GSP would be losers, instead of draws like they are now. It makes no sense that we are so fixated on just one division and that in today's wrestling culture, any other division would not draw without re-education of the fanbase.
  8. It's his ring name according to the post his picture is in. Yea, I feel like a moron now! I was initially just skipping the text and looking for the pics only! Thanks man.
  9. This may be a dumb question but why does the one dude have "ICEBORG" on his tights?
