  1. My main resolution is to go to more live shows. Already booked: IPW:UK in April featuring Emma Progress - Super Strong Style 16 tournament in May Pro Wrestling EVE - WrestleQueendom in May featuring Meiko Satomura and AJA KONG!!!!
  2. I'm loving these shows and am loving reliving the glory days of ROH and watching the shows again before I listen to the podcast! As I'm English I'd like to hear you review the FWA show but that's just me, would also enjoy the collision course japw show, I agree the do or die afternoon shows wouldn't be worth it
  3. Big fan of the show lads, I'd love to hear you do a series where you dedicate the week to watching a particular style of wrestling that you're not necessarily in to, say Joshi or deathmatch wrestling for example, you could take match recommendations from the forums, watch the most pimped matches and then give your reviews...
  4. My personal favourite will always be Flair/Savage from WM8, can't believe it hasn't been mentioned even once! The match was great, had blood, Perfect played his role to perfection and Heenan and Monsoon on commentary are equally as great as they were 2 months earlier at the 92 Rumble! Also Warrior/Savage from WM7 Man I just fucking love Randy Savage!
  5. Hype Bros, don't think I need to elaborate, Mojo Rawley and Zack Ryder, perhaps the 2 least likeable characters on WWE TV not named Roman or Enzo! Also, Enzo and Cass
  6. Dear Allan and Parv, Would love to hear you talk about the original Demolition line up of Bill Eadie and Randy Colley. I've heard Colley was replaced as Smash because fans recognised him as Moondog Rex but that never stopped Vince with other gimmicks such as Akeem obviously being OMG and Iron Sheik as Col.Mustafa as you've previously discussed on the show. Also how and why they replaced Luscious Johnny V with Mr. Fuji? Thanks guys, AJ
  7. Incredible match!! Unfortunately I can occasionally suffer from a short attention span and tend to get distracted during really long matches, if I'm not completely gripped by a long match I find myself on my phone checking my Twitter etc whilst keeping one eye on the match but this had me enthralled from start to finish and I don't think I've ever said this about an hour long match before but I could have watched it for longer, I was kinda hoping it would finish 2-2 and go to sudden death I was enjoying it that much!! Aja Kong is a fucking beast!! Takako Inoue is amazing at being a bitch, Kyoko Inoue looked great and tough as fuck after she was cut, same for Ozaki with that golf ball on her eye and Cutie played a great underdog. Sakie and Hikari didn't do a lot for me, didn't do anything wrong but didn't really excite me either. Definately left me excited to see Kong/Kansai! Who's the guy in the blue suit???
  8. There was some real sloppy parts to this match, mainly from Inoue but as someone else said I think the emotion and the desperation from each team not to lose can be a cover for Kyoko's botches as she was trying to go above and beyond her own capabilities at the time to not let Bull down. As much as this match had it's sloppy parts it also had some pretty great parts too. There was a spot when Aja is the corner and Bison is on her back in the ropes next to her with Bull trying to cut more of her hair off and Aja is holding back Bulls arm to prevent it whilst getting pummelled by Inoue at the same time which I fucking loved. Also Bull choking Aja with the chain looked fucking brutal!! What really puts this match over the top and into 'classic' territory for me is the haircut at the end and the complete contrast between Kong and Kimura as Bison is clearly devastated that she took the fall and is losing her long head of hair and Aja just sits like a boss. Emotionally draining from start to finish.
  9. What a truly epic display of brutality, from Bull destroying Aja's arm with the scissors to Aja's repeated spinning backfists to Bull at the start and a wide variety of Japanese weaponry not normally seen in wrestling matches this was truly a spectacle. The fighting on the outside only helped add to the overall feeling of chaos and Bulls emotion when she escapes the cage at the end really put over just how important the match was and how much the win meant to her!
  10. Really enjoyed this match, mainly due to the Perfect & Genius team, like everyone else has said, Perfects bumping for Hogan is insane and a lot of fun! I love the Genius character and his singles match vs Hogan on the previous SNME at the end of '89 is also a lot of fun. Didn't understand the finish, tagging yourself in after your partner has hit his finisher just to steal the pinfall for yourself seems rather heelish to me?? Also, does anyone else hate how Hogan can't hit the leg drop with his left leg, really annoys me and looks bad!
  11. Just watched this and really enjoyed it, I'm only just getting into Joshi hard in the last month or so which may have helped with my enjoyment as Loss said because I really don't know too much about the background of the 4 women involved. For me, Takako Inoue was the MVP of this match, what an absolute bitch!! From the way she throws knees to the head whilst holding her opponent in the tombstone position to the way she punched the shit out of Toyota as a receipt for kicking her in the head and the choking and flipping off the crowd, I just loved her performance. Hasegawa didn't do a lot for me but she didn't bring the match down either.
  12. The first ever episode of Elementary features a Charlie Haas ROH promo on TV in a bar...
  13. Hey guys, my names AJ, I'm 26 and I live just outside London, England. My earliest wrestling memory is flicking through channels and seeing Doink the Clown vs Lex Luger, I can't remember exactly when this was but I'm guessing around 93/94 when I was 6/7 years old and I was instantly hooked by the characters. From there it was WWF all the way, the first PPV's I vividly remember staying up and watching were the '96 Royal Rumble and WM12 (I can't explain to you how excited 9 year old me was by the return of the Ultimate Warrior). Even at that young age I was always fascinated by the past and wanted to know everything about the older wrestlers of the 80's, all my bday and xmas presents were always old WWF VHS tapes of the past, that was always much more exciting to me than what was going on presently. My favourite was WM8 that I watched over and over, Flair/Savage is still one of my favourite matches of all time. I was a teenager during the attitude era and had also branched into WCW and a bit of ECW by this point, always looking to seek out new promotions and new wrestlers. Then around 2004 whilst browsing on Kazaa or Limewire for old NWA matches I came across a file called 'ROH: American Dragon vs Low Ki vs Christopher Daniels', I had no idea what ROH was or who any of the wrestlers involved were but I downloaded it and watched 3 guys I'd never seen before wrestle the most incredible and innovative match I'd ever seen in a high school gym infront of a few hundred people and I was instantly hooked! I didn't watch WWE again until 2010 and became a huge ROH and indy wrestling mark. Nowadays I mainly watch my wrestling on YouTube, got massively into puro 2-3 years ago and am trying to watch as much of that as possible, mainly using this forum to find out the best matches. I haven't watched ROH since 2009 though I still try to keep up with whats going on. I follow WWE again on and off mainly to see how my old faves Punk, Bryan, Claudio etc are getting on although I mostly dislike the current product a great deal. So that's me, nice to meet you all...
