  1. I attend PCW on a fairly regular basis and have always found it to have a very vocal and rowdy crowd. The company runs on what seems to be a pretty successful business model drawing about 800+ each show and making a good chunk of money through merch , meet and greets events etc. They don't seem interested in expanding to larger venues or running in new parts of the country as ICW currently is, despite this I get the sense they are one of the most successful uk Indies financially . There is an excellent base of uk talent which are a key part of the current success , but I think the amount of International talent wanting to work on uk shows at moment speaks to the how hot British wrestling is and how connected with the independent circuit worldwide the uk is at the moment .Also beyond the 3 companies mentioned the wider uk scene seems to be doing well with numerous promotions like Southside, Rev pro and Futureshock ,to name a few, running regular well attended shows.
  2. Preston city wrestling and Southside both put on amazing shows this weekend some real stand out performance from the usual guys like Travis , Kirby etc. Devitt was fantastic all weekend . Also impressed by some of younger guys like Tyler Bate whos is only 17 and all ready has pretty unique style and look, particularly loved his strong realistic selling . Be interested to know what people think of Will Ospreay and Mark Andrews their some times wacky hi flying won me over with some truly innovative sequences .Also a Special mention for Noam Dar, who didn't have any blow away matches this weekend but his crowd interaction and banter are truly first class and adds to him as a performer.
  3. The flow of imports has definitely boosted attendances but I think the top tier uk workers are often as over . I think one potential consequence of the rise in overseas talent is the move towards a more generic international indie style rather than a more unique uk one I think the wrestlers who do integrate elements of the uk style stand out Zack Sabre etc.
  4. Hello my name is Mark , I am based in Manchester uk. I started out as a casual wrestling fan, my older and younger brothers being far bigger wwf fans than me. I have fond memories of listening to WWF PPVs with them , which aired on one of the Sky channels with the picture decoded , a particular favourite was the 92 Royal Rumble . But my real interest took off when one Saturday afternoon I discovered lucha Libre on Galavision the Masks, Midgets and Excoticos it was like a transmission from another planet, I was hooked . Soon after Eurosport started showing New Japan Ring warriors shows from this point on my interest accelerated spending most of my money on poor quality, over priced video tapes from traders. Watching mainly Puro, lucha and Joshi .By early 2000 my interest had faded and it was'nt till 2010 I got Interested again and tracked down stuff I had missed and started attending uk wrestling shows. My Interests lie mainly in classic Puro , lucha , Battlearts , Michinoku Pro and also have soft spot for PWG .I think the current UK scene is lot of fun with a flow of good imports and some promising homegrown workers I Keep track of what's going on in WWE but Only watch the occasional recommended match .
