  1. On the new episode, I thought Conrad's Hogan/Pastamania/mistress theory about why the first Nitro was in the Mall of America was completely ridiculous. Tony had no clue what he was trying to get at and said do numerous times but Conrad kept harping on the fact that Hogan wanted Nitro at the mall so he could plug Pastamania and please the mall publicist he was sleeping with at the time.
  2. I heard about this too and I'm not quite sure how I feel about it. On one hand, it's great that Goldberg will finally get the match he wants to have so his kids can see him wrestle. Plus, it gives Survivor Series a much needed boost. The opposite end of the spectrum says that this is going to be a horrible match. I just went back and watched their Mania 20 match a few weeks ago and it was just as horrible as I remember it being. Also, I'm guessing that this is a one and done for Goldberg?
  3. Thanks Ricky. Late 70s/Early 80s WWF is something I intend on diving more into soon, especially the old house shows.
  4. After hearing about Mighty Joe Thunder on the 6:05 Superpodcast, I decided to watch all four matches of his. Some thoughts here: http://epicwrestlingadventure.blogspot.com/2016/10/the-legend-of-mighty-joe-thunder_3.html
  5. Yes, but what would you add to or change on those cards to make them PPV worthy? I see what you did there. However, wouldn't it be more apt to compare Beach Blast to Bash at the Beach? Same basic idea (and logo for that matter).
  6. This is an upcoming topic on the NHO Podcast but wanted to get some thoughts from others as well ... In 1993 and 1994 there were no Great American Bash pay-per-views, but what if there were? What cards would you put together for those shows that would fit within the time period of WCW? I'm really interested to see what everyone comes up with. Some of these will even be read on the podcast when it's recorded in a few weeks.
  7. Rousey & Rock vs. HHH & Stephanie would be tremendous. Only thing that would make it better would be to have Bruce Buffer announce Rousey to the ring.
  8. Four Way Tag: Kidd & Cesaro Diva's Tag: Could really care less but I'm going with the Bellas Ladder Match: Daniel Bryan in the hopes they will rebuild the IC belt Battle Royal: Sheamus if he's a surprise entrant, otherwise Big Show US Title: Thinking Cena in a screwy finish on this as a way to potentially re-build the US title Orton/Rollins: Going with Orton Taker/Bray: Realistically would like to see Bray win and then have druids carry off Taker on their shoulders or in a casket signalling his end Sting/HHH: Sting: WWE Title: Reigns wins, Brock goes apeshit mad and destroys everything and everyone including Reigns, Rollins comes out and cashes in.
  9. A tad more excited than I was a week or so ago, but still going into this show with low expectations.
  10. If you need someplace to host it, archive.org is free and works great.
  11. Yep, and I'm pretty sure either Vince or Kevin Dunn probably had some sort of aneurysm after he uttered that.
  12. I'm going to watch Mania just because it's WrestleMania and my wife and I have already planned a weekend around watching Mania & the HOF but the build has been completely flat and I'm not excited about it at all. Is it sad that I'm more excited for indy tournaments like King of Trios and King of the Deathmatch than I am for WrestleMania?
  13. Agreed, however I did enjoy the build to Taker/HHH at WM 28. The build to this year's show is probably worse that the build for WM 29. It's WrestleMania and I should be really excited but I'm not. This feels like just another PPV in my eyes.
  14. Haven't thought about this for a while but as far as the worst Mania's go, it would be for me ... WM 11 (1995) - Bad show with the audio issues and poor matches. Also, it was held in Hartford and felt like any other run of the mill PPV at the time. Really, how much credit can you give a show that Bret Hart states was his "worst match ever". WM 27 (2011) - A show I have no desire to re-watch anytime soon. Between the Rock gab segment to open things up and the "Miz"-erable main event, this wasn't a good show by any means. The first bit was good with Rey/Cody, Edge/Del Rio, and Punk/Orton. After that and the HHH/Taker match, things went to the toilet pretty fast. WM 5 (1989) - An interminable show that just drags and drags and drags. Rockin Robin singing the anthem, Run DMC rapping to everyone's displeasure, and a goofy Piper's Pit segment along with a crowd colder than an Alaskan winter's day didn't make this a fun show to sit through. WM 2 (1986) - The first half was dreadful but from the football players battle royal, things picked up a bit. Also, Susan St. James on commentary. Please, no. WM 9 (1993) - Not a bad show and memorable only for the Roman Coliseum stuff. I found the Headshrinkers/Steiners match to be fantastic and some of the mid-card matches to be somewhat solid. The Bret/Hogan/Yokozuna stuff at the end still comes across bad.
