    AJ Styles

AJ is one of a handful of active guys I'll consider. Right now I've got him high 40's. His athleticism & bumping are on a separate level that almost make up for his short comings. He's an ultimate babyface IMO; undersized, works well from underneath, gets some great sympathy. Also, can't discount his tag work especially with Chris Daniels.

    Dean Malenko

I liked his mat work, always felt he did a decent job working a body part as well. His selling is non existent, he feels very choreographed & we all know about his "personality". That said, I still love to watch him work & he's one of my favorites from that era.
  3. Top 20- never had great match structure but every now & then I want to see people get thrown around. Rick & Scott did that as well an anybody. Bonus points for entertaining squash matches
  4. Lawler got a great match out of The Miz....case closed, best of all time.
  5. They did this to themselves. I was a big fan of TNA in the mid 2000's but they've done everything possible to sabotage themselves.
  6. The ending to this match pissed me off to no end. These two had a very personal feud for over a year with numerous brutal matches, this one included. In the end, it wasn't Benoit that beat Sullivan it was Jackie. Made no sense to me.
  7. Really liked Payback on the whole, but the last man standing match didn't do it for me. Yes, it had big spots but it had zero selling. I know we're all used to it but last night it just seemed more obvious. That match was an overbooked, Attitide era at its worst, clusterfuck.
  8. I really enjoy Punk when he's a heel & he can "drop pipe bombs." But as a face, he almost Miz bad. He obviously doesn't like playing that part & it shows. As far as in ring goes, he may be one of the most overrated wrestlers currently. He throws the absolute worst kicks this side of the Divas division & he borrows way to much from other wrestlers. Plus, he's a dick.
  9. -Keep watching WCW for my podcast (The Nitrocast...cheap pop) -Try not to let the current WWE product put me in a sour mood weekly -Discover more 80's goodness that I've missed -Watch more stuff from Japan, it's a weakness for me that I want to turn into a strength
  10. Complete shit match, Hogan stalling for the first 7 minutes took the wind out of the match before it started. The overbooked finish was a staple for wcw main events. Piper coming out was a nice surprise but went too long, so long they ended the ppv while they were still cutting promos.
  11. Just re watched this match & it's gotta be top 10 for both of those guys. Bret looked fresh, Austin's body hadn't broken down yet. Loved the story they told, the action was great & the finish was both well done & logical. Great match
  12. Just watched this promo today & it's probably the best promo I've ever seen Sting cut. Good intensity & good content but having him turn his back to the camera was the cherry on top.
  13. Best heavyweight fight I've ever seen & probably the only time I was happy to see a draw.
  14. Fall Brawl 96- what a great time it was to be a WCW fan. The undercard here was really Lucha heavy (Rey vs Super Calo & Konnan vs Juvi) Benoit vs Jericho had a fantastic match. Hell, the Nasty Boys weren't even that bad! The story of Sting "joining the nWo" is one of my favorites & it's really cool to rewatch and feel like I'm 16 again.
  15. Original Liontamer: when Jericho used do it in WCW it looked so devastating and painful. It's a shame it turned into a Boston Crab later, but the original will always be my favorite.
