  1. It was a blast to do, and we are very excited to go back to a time we only glossed over way back in the beginning. Definitely share your ratings.
  2. As time has progressed, the Attitude Era seems to either be considered a golden era or a blight on professional wrestling. I suppose it depends on the kind of fan you are. Workrate junkies would say the era was marked by poor wrestling and over the top storytelling. Others can say the main events were awesome but early on (1998-99) the mid-card was loaded with poor matches and over the top characters. It wasn't until 2000 when the WCW exodus came that the roster was truly strong top to bottom. Having said that DX was definitely a memorable group with great moments on Raw (particularly during its early incarnation from September 97-March 98) but Triple H did a fine job recovering after HBK left and put together a fun group that made Raw entertaining in many ways. Sure they weren't all workrate marvels but frankly at that time in wrestling history workrate was hard to come by in any of the promotions except perhaps the Cruiserweights in WCW. The 2006 incarnation was made simply to print t-shirts and give two main eventers something to do other than challenge John Cena. It started off ok but by the end of the summer it had definitely outlived its usefulness. Having said that it was no less important to the industry than the NWO was. People can say what they want about the guys in DX having no wrestling ability but the NWO was pretty much 3/4 full of talentless hacks (and that includes the main eventers). However they made money and during that era that was all that mattered: Money and ratings.
  3. D'Amato on any podcast talking incorrect wrestling facts is high entertainment.
  4. Plus, Triple H should win every tournament.
  5. It's too bad that even with that slight blip, I've forgotten more than you've learned.
  6. With my complete impatience with commercials, all I do right now is watch wrestling on the WWE Network, and great TV shows on Netflix and Hulu Plus. There's a lot of stuff I've always wanted to watch and with the Network out now I can do things like watch every NWA/WCW show in chronological order (including clashes). It also allows me to watch WCW 1994 over again (right Will?????) Considering I root for a lot of crappy sports teams (Mets, Lakers) if I didn't have wrestling I'd lose my mind. I also love listening to music, the reason I pay every month for Sirius-XM.
  7. 2012 was pretty good, considering you had a great CM Punk title match almost every month, then the Brock Lesnar appearances and a solid enough mid-card.
  8. Sorry for the double post...screen went haywire.
  9. I have to say 1989 WWF is one of my favorite seasons. Solid main events, but in particular great mid-card and awesome tag team feuds with Demolition, Harts, Brain Busters and Rockers.
  10. I have to concur with WWF 1989. You had Hogan-Savage with Zeus, a pretty solid mid-card and fantastic tag team feuds with Demolition, Brain Busters, Hart Foundation, Rockers.
  11. I think 2005 was a very solid year. The emergence of a young (and not yet hated) John Cena, the well-written Undertaker/Randy Orton feud and then of course the great trilogy of matches between Triple H and Batista. Not Ric Flair/Steamboat awesome, but very good. Then there was the Eddie Guerrero heel turn and subsequent matches with Rey Mysterio that were fabulous.
  12. Being at the IZOD Center for this show, I can say us as a crowd was tremendous. A lot of energy, particuarly almost all the heels. The only heels that really got BOOED was Kane and Batista. Bad News Barrett may have been more over than Bray Wyatt or Cesaro.

  14. "Go to first unread post" isn't working for me - either through the View New Content button (which is awesome - i typically use this to read the site) or by going into the forum and clicking on that button right outside the thread. Yeah I had the same problem too.
  15. I appreciate everyone's opinion and Dylan was a solid debate opponent. Will was great in laying out the ground rules and throwing out the parameters. Considering he's not a big fan of "The H" it didn't bleed over to it feeling like a handicap match. I stand by my opinions and I'm sure Dylan does too. There will be Triple H haters who think I'm an idiot, and they are entitled to that. I knew going in I was on the side of unpopular, and that's why I took time to sculpt my reasonings and defenses without sounding too much like a fan. It was fun, and I have no problem debating Edge's career also.
