  1. Orton is good in the ring, but he's a black hole of charisma. No matter how many good matches he has (and he carried Reigns to a damn good match last night), it's impossible to give a shit about him.
  2. The match did feel like more of an Orton showcase, but I can't imagine any other way for him to have gotten 16 minutes out of Reigns without it getting really bad.
  3. I thought it was a good show over all. The first couple of matches were fine, and Rusev/Swagger was quite good. Stephanie/Brie was better than it had any business being, as far as a match between a non-wrestler and a barely competent wrestler. I thought Orton/Reigns was very good, and I credit that to Orton. Complain about chin locks if you like, but Orton made it look like he was on offense tonight, and not just doing rest holds. Lesnar vs. Cena was perfect. The one thing I seemed to be in the minority about on Twitter tonight was that I HATED Ambrose/Rollins. They did some cool dives and stuff, but the psychology of that match was horrendous for a lumberjack match. If guys can brawl all over the arena because the lumberjacks suck, then what is the point of ever having a lumberjack match again? RVD/Cesaro on the pre-show was actually pretty good as well. I thought it was the best televised match they've had together.
  4. The Jarrett angle itself was what it was, but I popped big at the prospect of him working in New Japan. People hate on Jeff Jarrett for a litany of reasons, and I think it's caused a lot of people to forget or ignore what an awesome performer he is. I am legitimately excited to see a Jarrett/Tanahashi singles match. Okada/Nakamura was excellent. I think the only matches I liked better the whole tournament were Styles/Suzuki and Ishii/Honma.
  5. Why aren't new subforums being added?
  6. This is high on my list of MOTY contenders, an absolute war. Goto blocking the Rainmaker by full on headbutting Okada in the face was the manliest thing I have ever seen. Pretty sure I went ****3/4 for this.
  7. I must be in the minority, because I thought this match was phenomenal. I remember thinking in January that it stole the show. I rewatched it a few weeks ago and loved it even more. Just a hair short of perfect. I went ****3/4.
  8. Hey guys, I'm Trae, 26 years old, currently living in the old Memphis territory. When I'm not watching pro wrestling, I'm an aspriing historian. I used to post on TSM, DVDVR, and a dozen other boards under a different name. I chose the name BoneSoldier for this board because I'm a huge Bullet Club mark. My first memory of pro wrestling was playing WWF Royal Rumble for SNES. I remember that I liked Razor Ramon. I didn't actually start watching wrestling until late 1999, having become curious as to who these "Stone Cold" and "The Rock" characters were that the kids at school were talking about. I got the internet in 2002 and got into independents and old wrestling, then started getting into Japan in 2003-2004. My interest waned a bit following the Benoit tragedy, as Benoit was my favorite wrestler of all time. It came back, and then dipped again while I was in college. I started graduate school last year, and got back into wrestling as a way to decompress and keep my sanity. Fun Fact: I went to my first live show in 2005, and attended 10 total live shows from 2004-2013. I've been to 9 shows in 2014 alone (and have tickets for two more).
