  1. Already started diving a bit in to watching stuff, I think Sam said it best where he views every match he watches as a piece of the puzzle that is GWE. Just over the last week I have watched 80's AJW, early ZERO-ONE, part of Henry's Hall of Pain run, BattlARTS and just a lot from all over the gambit of pro wrestling. It's been fun so far and I look forward to some deeper dives once I narrow through some of the variety!
  2. Steven's zine has to happen
  3. I don't think a centralized Slack will work, but I have to figure that the GWE 2021 Slack and a few other wrestling slacks will probably have their own debates and have tastes change within those specific sub groups, and there is just no way for anyone to keep up with *everything* being said about *everyone* is all.
  4. Figured I would log on to give some thoughts, never been super active on PWO, but I have been super active on Twitter for over a decade now and I voted in the 2016 poll, so maybe I can give a little bit of the perspective of someone looking in. - I do think "the process" should start much sooner, if people are to vote in 2026, I would say starting some preliminary stuff next year would be great (using this year to plan, lay the ground rules, etc.) - You will have to allow people that do not actively engage with PWO 24/7 to submit ballots or just make it a PWO thing only. Twitter is the new forums and not allowing part of the discussion to flow to things such as Twitter, Discord, Slack, etc will make it less likely for a 2036 one to even happen. - I think trying to engage with everything will cause some *extreme* burn out for some, if not most, people will make cases and it is easier than ever to get them in front of the eyes or in to the ears of people, but you do not have to engage! For instance, I am not going to engage in a Ric Flair thread or listen to a 6 hour podcast on Flair's case (granted, done by the right people would be highly entertaining) because I know where I stand on Flair. - Please no tag team poll, do not give in to peer pressure, no tag team poll. - People should not take this near as serious as an overall group voting thing, PWO is not the Academy, while taking your personal list as serious as you want, it would be for the best to know that you are not going to be happy with every result! I think those are my biggest points, again just my suggestions, I fall in and out of love with wrestling all the time, but I will submit a ballot for this in some form in 2026.
  5. Haven't posted in this thread in a bit, but do we got a brand new episode for you! (WARNING: It is all over the place) http://wrestlingwithwords.com/podcast/we-dont-know-wrestling-too-many-marks/ Dylan Hales, Devon Hales, Fray, TJ Hawke, Tanner, and Sam. Why? I don’t know. This was going to be a WDKW100 show but once you get six of us going then really you are lucky to get something that makes sense. I’m not sure we even accomplished that. Fray forces AWE talk. AWE is good so I guess that’s okay. TJ buries bookers. They earned it. Tanner continues to be, against everyone’s wishes, Tanner. This show is considered canon.
  6. Honestly surprised to be half the high vote for Jun Akiyama at #3, seems like he has gotten way more traction over the years and thought someone would give him their #1 or #2 spot just based on how great he's been for so long now, dude has had a hell of a career and even continues to kill it now.
  7. 3 more of my guys got listed today (Mark Briscoe, Homicide and Minoru Tanaka) and I can't believe I still have 96 people to go, good stuff.
  8. I just wanted to pop in and say that the revealing process has been beautiful so far. Also, I am baffled I haven't had anyone show up yet, but keep up the great work!
  9. Turned in my ballot, I apologize in advance.
  10. Been a bit since I've seen that match myself, but I do agree that saying he was *never* the best guy in a match was a little extreme. It is really no slight considering he was in there with guys I love like Kawada, Kobashi, Taue and Vader and I still think he is fantastic wrestler, just the lesser of those guys I mentioned.
  11. 1.) Write more about wrestling, I love writing about wrestling but I do not need to burn myself out this coming up year (I reviewing all of BOSJ this past year, that did it). 2.) Watch more wrestling. I watched a ton of stuff in 2015, hope it continues in 2016. 3.) Making my huge wrestling list an easy to read thing so it is actually helpful this year. 4.) More podcast appearances.
  12. I have to say, if someone like me who has been watching wrestling for less than a decade is going to submit a ballot, I think everyone should. Variety is the spice of life, people!
  13. Just looking through the thread, I'll probably be the high vote on the likes of Generico, Sekimoto and maybe Cena? I'm sure there are others as my list is looking to get real crazy real fast, but those are the big ones I can think of.
  14. Reigns and Strong are two guys that have a LOAD of great stuff and both will probably be missing my Top 100, too much stuff to list off the top of my head though
